This is by far one of the most dishonest companies I have ever had to deal with. They took advantage of my grandma. They convinced her to put the auto order thingy on her tank. Damaged the o ring seal. She paid roughly 1500 for a tank refill. The house uses the propane for the generator. All of the gas leaked out of the tank. And then they said not their fault. And then after i got involved they offer a 40 gallon refill. After she had her 250 gallon tank filled and leaked out.
I will not use them i will tell everyone to stop using them

They are not "here for you". They are here for THEMSELVES.
They should go out of business. That's the only way they could improve. They stick it to you in the beginning, the middle, and the end. I was regrettably a customer for eleven years. NEVER GO WITH FERREL GAS!!!

Decades of Loyalty, Zero Compassion
My parents, Jim and Maridel McMahon, have been Ferrellgas customers through multiple changes in ownership. Unfortunately, it appears that the company has lost sight of the value of long-term customer relationships and the people who have supported them for decades.
My 89-year-old father recently fell, suffered a head injury, and was hospitalized before being transferred to rehab. While he was away from home, my 86-year-old mother ran out of propane. We contacted Ferrellgas to request a refill and were told we would have to pay an additional $100 to receive priority service within two days instead of the standard five-day wait.
Given our family’s circumstances, we politely asked whether the fee could be waived. The receptionist was very kind and placed us on hold to speak with her manager. Unfortunately, the manager declined to make an exception.
I understand that businesses have policies and procedures, but I also believe that good companies recognize when a situation calls for compassion and common sense. After decades of loyalty, it was disappointing to learn that helping an elderly customer through a difficult family situation wasn’t worth making an exception.
This experience has changed our view of Ferrellgas. Once my father returns home and we have time to make other arrangements, we will be looking for a new propane provider.
It’s unfortunate when a company grows to the point where policies seem to matter more than people. Long-term customer loyalty should mean something, especially when a little compassion could make a difficult situation easier for an elderly customer.

Avoid doing business with Ferrellgas
I rarely give a business one star but need to join the chorus of dissatisfied customers.
Their staff are polite and engaging on the phone, but the Company appears to have structural problems with internal communications and follow through.
In this age of AI and communications, there’s simply no excuse for their failure of follow through.
Unfortunately, I purchased this home with their tank in place and an has been reluctant to go through the annoyance of having it removed replacing it with one I own.
If you haven’t engaged them, simply don’t. This is one of the worst companies I’ve encountered in recent years. I just saved you a big headache. You’re welcome

They said we didn't sign a lease…
They said we didn't sign a lease agreement and when I found out how much rental they charged and I switched companies they refused to refund 10 months worth of fees. I asked for the original agreement and they sent me a brochure telling me the current policy. I don't know if my partner signed a lease or not, she had a stroke and can't remember either. I received the bill and paid it in good faith, not wanting to cheat Farrellgas, but I sure wish I would not have paid it. They kept over $100 in over payment! We, my partner and I had been customers for over 10 years, and she had been paying the bills.

Go Local and Avoid FERRELL!!
The company is disorganized and untrustworthy, and this past winter was the worst. After numerous no-shows on expected delivery dates, and many calls and emails reminding them, they finally showed just before my tank went empty. The driver could barely navigate the truck, crashed into several snow banks, strewing ice chunks all over my freshly shoveled driveway, and, he did not tighten the fill cap, which I noticed by smelling propane near the tank. Northeast winters are brutal enough without having to worry about propane delivery. As soon as this tank empties, they are GONE!!

Ferrell gas unprofessional service
Ferrell gas did not refill our tank . We went without hot water, oven not working, and water tank damaged with sludge. Costing us over 3 grand to replace and convert to electric. We are also seniors and retired on limited funds. We were over charged for gas. We went with a different company. We are still waiting for Ferrell gas to pick up their very unsightly blue tank for almost 2 months. Ferrell gas service out the phone company , that have continued to reschedule to Monday to Wednesday to Friday. No show No call. The tank is still in my front yard. We are being ignored and used as Ferrell storage place for an unsightly blue tank
