Grinder dies after two years, useless customer service
I bought an Ode grinder in May 2022. Two years later, it started shaking uncontrollably towards the end of the grinding process, and the grind it produced looked like it came straight out of a wood chipper. Customer service was useless, commenting on a photo of the grind on the finest setting that “oh yeah that looks right” and in the same email “it looks coarse”. Yes, it looks coarse because it’s not working anymore. After the agent acknowledged that there was a problem indeed, I was told nothing could be done. The ridiculousness of the exchange culminated in the agent advising me to “mist my beans” before I grind them. When I pointed out that it is unacceptable for a product that price to last such a short time without the option to repair, buy a spare part or even get a discount to replace the product, I was offered a 15% discount (like 15% is supposed to change my mind about buying from them again). Needless to say, the discount will never be used, I will never purchase from this company again and I would advise you to find a more reputable brand to buy from as well.
