My experience with FEDCON has been consequential for American Veteran Technical Solutions [AVTS]. I came into this business with decades of federal aviation and executive experience. However, building a veteran-owned small business and learning the federal contracting side of the business was new territory for me. FEDCON has played an important role in helping me with that transition. After spending nearly a year working through the VOSB/SDVOSB certification process on my own, Dawn stepped in and quickly got me through what had become a significant obstacle. She was patient, knew exactly what she was doing with the SAM and SBA processes, and brought nearly a year of effort to a successful conclusion in remarkably short order. My work with Philip has been extremely valuable as well. He introduced me to the FEDCON portal and helped sharpen how I identify and assess opportunities across the federal marketplace. Through our conversations, I also picked up techniques for using different AI platforms to research companies, opportunities, and potential connections. That expanded my toolkit and has had a real impact on how I approach business development for AVTS. Dawn and Philip brought expertise where I needed it, solved real problems, and gave me tools I continue to use as I build the company. The BIGGEST KUDOS TO FEDCON!!!!!! What an amazing program!!!! I have really enjoyed working with my (Flagship Program) consultant and learning more about how to grow my business in the federal contracting space. FedCon has honestly been a great resource for me. There is SO much information out there when you first get into government contracting, and it can get overwhelming really fast. FedCon helped me slow it down, understand what I'm looking at, and more importantly, understand what I should actually be doing with the information. What I really like is that I'm not just learning how to search for contracts. I'm learning how to research award history, find prime contractors, understand who is buying the services I provide, look for teaming opportunities, and figure out where my company can actually fit. I'm starting to look at opportunities completely differently now. And listen...if you're thinking about jumping off the porch and getting into this federal contracting world, I would definitely recommend FedCon! 😂 You're still going to have to do the work—there's no magic button—but having the right tools and FEDCON who will actually teach you how to use them makes a BIG difference. I'm still learning, still building, and definitely still asking a million questions, but I feel a lot more confident about what I'm doing and why I'm doing it. I never have to wait long periods of time for reply's. I look forward to continuing working with them. I also talked to a lady named Marina Nicola a few times as well and she was also very helpful and so relatable. I felt like I was talking to a friend! Love this company all around.
