I’ll be honest—I almost didn’t try Fathom after seeing the 2.9 rating here. But after a vendor used it during a Zoom call, I was curious enough to test it for myself. I’m so glad I did. We switched from Otter and the difference was night and day. Fathom doesn’t just transcribe meetings—it understands them. The summaries, action items, and follow-ups it generates are eerily accurate and genuinely useful. It even lets you tag moments during meetings and “chat” with a transcript after the call to pull out quotes or context. Yes, there are a couple of missing features (like uploading audio or recording in-person meetings via mobile), but they’re on the roadmap and weren’t deal-breakers for us. The value Fathom does deliver made it an easy choice. If you rely on meetings for sales, client success, or team collaboration, don’t let the rating scare you off. This tool is seriously underrated.

This product has revolutionized my meetings and note-taking. With Fathom, not only do I have a record of every meeting, I can go back and review the notes. Not having to worry about taking notes allows me to be more present in meetings and conversations. Whenever I've had a support question, the team at Fathom has responded very quickly.
