I am an American living in Thailand and needed my IDP for a car rental in Japan. I had been planning the trip for months, but didn't look into the car rental requirements until only 2 weeks before the trip. I knew I would need an IDP, but I didn't realize that 1. I had to apply through AAA, 2. There are no AAA offices abroad and I would have to send my application through snail mail, and 3. That it would take 5-7 weeks for my IDP to be sent back to me. Everything online was telling me the only way to apply was directly through AAA and that everything else was a scam. I put my trust in Fast IDP because they recognized that AAA was the only recognized IDP sponsor, and that their service was simply to offer faster IDP processing for Americans living abroad. Sounds good, but the rush fees could have totally been a scam. Yet, here I am a week later with my IDP in hand! Mike and Jamie were accessible and communicated with me the whole way, both by phone and email. They alerted me when my IDP was shipped and monitored it's delivery as well, up until I confirmed I had received it. If you're outside of the US and you need your IDP faster than the 5-7 weeks it will take for AAA to process it, this is the service for you! Thanks for your help.

Very simple and easy process.

Great experience from beginning to end Really great experience. I’m traveling around Asia for a year, and I was looking to get an IDP shipped to me in China before heading to Indonesia next month. The Chinese internet is always an unforeseen challenge with VPNs, and I was struggling to access the FastIDP site application - so I reached out to FastIDP via email, and they responded immediately to help me submit the information. They obtained my IDP so fast and shipped it out to me to arrive way before the estimated timing. Then, another unforeseen challenge - usually their shipments don’t get stopped by customs, but of course mine did. Mike helped me troubleshoot how to fill out the Chinese customs form (fully in Mandarin, huge props to him for helping me with it despite not speaking the language) - and within a day I had the form fully filled out, submitted, and the shipment released from customs and back on its way to me. Even when I wasn’t home to sign for the attempted delivery (something the Chinese mail had decided to require), Mike reached out to let me know delivery had been attempted and make sure I had been in contact with the delivery service to schedule a new delivery. All in all, despite the challenges the Chinese mail tried to throw our way, Mike and FastIDP were awesome, and I truly appreciated all of their help in this process - getting me an IDP super quickly. Their response times are so fast and customer service is top notch. They even offered to send me a new IDP to Indonesia at no cost if I couldn’t get the IDP out of Chinese customs. OH and what is particularly great is: they ask for the address in the local language, and they put the address on the envelope in both English and the local language. Most people in China don’t speak English and can’t read it, so using Chinese characters is a huge deal in getting a package here. In contrast, Chase has been trying to send me a replacement credit card for 3 weeks now but can only use English characters, and the Chinese mail keeps not delivering it confused with the address. Seriously, FastIDP thought of everything.

Mike and Jamie run a well oiled machine. This service is fast, efficient, and the only legitimate way to get an IDP without going to AAA yourself. They make the process easy at a fair price. Absolutely would recommend to anyone in need of an IDP on short notice.

Nothing but positive things to say about Mike. Was having the worst time getting my IDP from the states while living overseas and found this on a random reddit thread.
