Apart from using the extension, ad locations and placeholders can also be managed directly through the EzoicAds dashboard. If assistance was needed, creating a thread in the Ezoic Community forum would have been a swift way to get support, where our team could have guided you through the necessary steps efficiently. On the matter of ad density and its impact on user experience, after reviewing the Big Data Analytics (BDA) of your site, it appears that for 60% of the pageviews, only 1-4 ads were displayed. This indicates a relatively minimal ad setup. The user experience metrics during this period also remained strong, showing no significant deterioration. Ezoic's system aims to optimize the balance between ad placements and user experience by adjusting ad densities and types. This ensures both optimal user experience and revenue generation, avoiding common pitfalls associated with ad overload, particularly on less capable devices or slower connections. Turning to Ezoic Premium, the main goal is to ensure that publishers see a net positive return on their investment in the service. After personally reviewing your account, I observed that, contrary to your statement, the program did indeed generate a significant return. For example, from February 12 to March 12, 2024, your earnings from Premium were 102% higher than the cost of the service, effectively doubling your investment. This demonstrates that the criticism regarding Premium not being cost-effective in your case seems unjustified as it doesn't align with the data. Regarding support and communication, as a Level 1 publisher, while you may not have direct access to the ticket support system, the Ezoic Community serves as a valuable resource for assistance. Engaging with the community and our employees there could have provided you with the help needed to resolve your issues with ad placement, challenging the notion that it's impossible to get in touch with someone from our company. So the claim, that you “cant contact anyone at the company” seems unfair, as you didn´t even try to get assistance through the community. Thank you for your feedback. In response to your review, I would like to address the points you've raised individually to provide clarity and context around your experience with Ezoic. Ad Setup and Earnings: It's important to understand that Ezoic gives publishers full control over their ad setup. Our system is designed to be 'self-serve'. In your case, you opted for an extremely 'light' ad setup. Ezoic's placeholders are potential ad locations (not actual ad locations) and you were limiting the system's ability to test by only allowing it to display 1-3 ads per page with many high-earning ad types like anchor ads, side rail ads, and sticky sidebar all deactivated - totally your choice to do that, but this significantly impacts EPMV and earnings. By choosing not to adjust the optimization goals to "Balanced," your earnings were directly affected by these decisions. Ezoic Premium: With Premium, the objective is to ensure that publishers earn more than the cost of the plan. Having looked at the details in your account myself, I can see that this goal was achieved in your case. So, the criticism seems misguided. Nameserver Integration and Site Speed: Concerning the site speed and nameserver integration, your core web vitals on desktop were all in the 'green'. The site had a commendable Leap desktop score of 83 while integrated with Ezoic. This contrasts with your current setup, where the core web vitals are NOT being met, indicating a slower site performance outside of Ezoic. We checked one random landing page on your site after you removed integration with Ezoic - with your current monetization solutions provider, you are not passing the core web vitals on desktop, your site has a LCP of 2.7 seconds for instance (With Ezoic it was at 1.4). FID is worse also. The issue with slow mobile site speed and JavaScript code conflicts might also stem from numerous scripts your site loads, which is independent of Ezoic. Support and Technical Issues: On the matter of support, despite being a Level 1 publisher, our records show that you received dedicated assistance from three different Ezoic employees on a technical issue through the Ezoic Community, including the assisted opening of a support ticket. This typically isn't accessible for publishers at Level 1. Your setup's uniqueness might have contributed to the time required to resolve the issue, but the effort and resolution provided should not be overlooked. It's important to point out that Ezoic, especially for smaller sites, operates as a self-serve platform, offering publishers the autonomy to customize their settings extensively. In your situation, the choice to manually adjust almost every setting, including a significantly reduced ad density, was made independently by you. While this autonomy is a core feature of Ezoic, allowing for a tailored approach to each publisher's needs and preferences, it will not always result in the most efficient outcome in terms of ad performance and revenue optimization. My advice is to trust the system and allow it to optimize for you. Don't keep restricting it. It WORKS for >35,000 publishers; you need to give it time and be patient. Ezoic's system is designed to optimize ad placements, ad densities, and ad types to balance user experience with revenue potential. The opportunity cost of using non-Ezoic ad providers is that you're often showing too many ads for that kind of user (eg 3G, old handset). Ezoic fixes these mistakes. Just go back and look at your ad density by page before you manually restricted the system. If you had allowed Ezoic's AI system to operate with fewer restrictions, it would have lead to improved earnings and a better overall site performance over time. This is not to undermine the value of customization, but rather to suggest that a more balanced approach to Ezoic's optimization capabilities would have lead to better results for you.

It's crucial to understand that even "well-made" websites can contain duplicate, low-quality, or inappropriate content, which is not in line with our standards. Regarding our approval and reappeal process, we aim for fairness and thoroughness. The limited number and frequency of appeals is in place to ensure that all publishers take the necessary steps to align with these guidelines. This process is designed to maintain the integrity and quality of the network for all parties involved. Hi Chad. Looking back at the records in our system, it looks as if you broke the terms of your agreement with Ezoic. Replying to your review point by point: 1. Ezoic's ads aren't spammy - the ad demand going into the Ezoic system is from Google and all of the world's top tier ad partners. I see the ads currently on the site are similar ad demand (Adsense). The content of the site is medical with a carousel style - designed to obtain high contextual bidding for high value keywords. It's a good technique for arb-ing traffic, but I don't think the accusation sticks as well when the pages are designed for encouraging more pageviews from the users. AdSense is now CPM, not CPC, so this methodology is likely not to work well (unless you use the Ezoic mediation system). And if you're referring to spammy as in 'where are the ads' within the viewport; well that's up to you. You can hard code them in, or use the chrome extension. All the options are there for you. 2. Sites that connect to Ezoic via Cloudflare CDN - as this site did - are in no way appreciably slower than a standard Cloudflare site (maybe 10ms - the time it takes for a request to go from data center to data center - not a timeframe you could notice on a browser). GAM served sites have a higher JS load (same for all sites; adsense ad server is faster than GAM, no question), but running an auction normally offers higher yield. Looking back at the actual Core Web Vitals - they looked good when using Ezoic. We even offer help to improve slow pages via Leap. https://www.ezoic.com/leap/ Did you use that? So, no - I don't think this 'slow' accusation is fair. 3. Staff: I don’t think we’re pretentious. We ARE however, human and all have our faults. Sorry if we annoyed you. We’re certainly not novices at advertising (Ezoic has been growing since 2010 with tens of thousands of sites using the system successfully and the total is growing daily). You may consider yourself an expert and that's great - many of our publishers are, but I think this comment is unfair on our guys who were trying to help you grow your business. There are tons of options for you to 'tune up' Ezoic exactly the way you want - if you didn't like the help being offered, you could have researched those for yourself. 4. Ezoic Big Data Analytics is excellent. It offers thousands of permutations of reports and is one of the most powerful analytics tools available for publishers -> FOR FREE e.g. - > real time earnings, landing page earnings, earnings by UTM code, earnings by browser, earnings by time of day, earnings by geo, zip code, ad density per page etc etc. Outside of GA360 (and Google Analytics 360 charges hundreds of thousands of dollars per year for this level of detail), I don't know of any other system offering this (& free of charge). 5. Ezoic is at it's heart a self-serve system and - if you want to return and use it again - please reach out. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the new features and AI growth tools that we have on offer.

Die sogenannten "Bad Ads" können tatsächlich von jedem Werbenetzwerk kommen und sind leider ein gelegentliches Problem in der Display-Ads-Branche. Ezoic ist sehr aktiv darum bemüht, diese Anzeigen systemweit so schnell wie möglich zu blockieren. Es ist sehr hilfreich, wenn du, sobald du eine solche Anzeige entdeckst, direkt ein Ticket eröffnest und dem Support-Team die Ad-URL mitteilst. Diese unerwünschten Anzeigen erreichen in der Regel nur eine extrem geringe Anzahl des Traffics, bevor sie blockiert werden. Wir setzen alles daran, die Qualität der Anzeigen auf Ezoic-Plattform zu gewährleisten und solche Vorfälle zu minimieren. Lieber Christian, Vielen Dank für dein Feedback. Es beunruhigt uns sehr zu hören, dass du während der Nutzung von Ezoic einen Rückgang der Seitenaufrufe erlebt hast. Die intelligente KI von Ezoic, welche bereits mit dem Google Business Innovation Award, und erst 2022 mit einem weiteren Tech-Innovation Award ausgezeichnet wurde, sollte, wenn richtig in Kombination mit Leap eingerichtet, keine negativen Auswirkungen auf die Website-Leistung und vor allem nicht auf den Traffic haben. Es gibt viele Faktoren, die zu einem Rückgang des Traffics führen können, wie Änderungen in Google's Suchalgorithmen. Im Laufe von 2023 könnten zum Beispiel das November Core Update, oder das Google Reviews Update, welches sich vor allem auf Erfahrungsberichtsinhalte fokussiert, Auswirkungen auf das Ranking und den Traffic deiner Seite gehabt haben. Es ist nicht unwahrscheinlich, dass solche externen Faktoren eine Rolle bei den Veränderungen gespielt haben.
