Ezoic hosting was disabled without prior notice, and now unable to log in to my WordPress dashboard for easy migration.
When I started using Ezoic, they convinced me to switch to Ezoic AWS hosting for better performance. However, they began showing numerous unwanted ads on my website, even though I chose the User Experience focused ads setting.
Now, my website traffic has dropped significantly, and they disabled Ezoic hosting for my website without giving me a grace period or sending any official email about the hosting removal.
Because of this, I am unable to log in to my WordPress dashboard. The worst part is that without access to WordPress, I can't easily move my website from Ezoic hosting to Hostinger.
I literally begged them to enable my hosting for just 24 hours so that I could migrate my website using WordPress, but their support/IT team is not willing to help me.
What kind of company has Ezoic become?
In the beginning, Ezoic used to care about people, but now they have become something else ...EVIL.

Regarding the ads, you can adjust the ad setup to be as light as possible by disabling different ad types. If you don't like a particular ad being shown, you can simply disable that ad type or remove the placeholder. If you let our system optimize, we always find a balance between revenue and user experience. When an ad is shown, our system ensured it doesn't negatively impact UX.
Ezoic hosting is a free, self-serve service. We did provide a grace period for you to migrate your hosting, and we're glad our support team could eventually assist you in migrating your site successfully.

Opinions from a newbie blogger
Opinions from a newbie blogger- they were quick to get me on board. Then I quickly realized this was a big mistake on my behalf.
Pros- quick onboarding service. Allows small blogs to monetize.
Cons- customer service is non-existent after you've signed up. Their crappy platform killed my site speed. Their ads are spammy as hell, despite setting the backend to favor user-friendliness (less ads). High learning curve for newbies. Endless rabbit hole of excuses on Ezoics end (e.g. all their tech support can do is repeatedly recommend "use leap" without postivie results or guidance on how to use it). They make it hard to leave once you've onbboarded.
My site crumbled from 50k page views per month to 1k. And I suspect a lot of it was due to site speed and site experience issues as a result of ezoic.
Will never use or recommend them again.
I've since started a new site. I will hit 50k page views and sign up for mediavine instead.
Ezoic sells a false hope. Stay away :)

While adding ads can slightly impact site speed, Ezoic Ads are the fastest available, and no other provider of monetization solutions will serve your site faster than Ezoic when properly set up.
Our system always finds a balance between user experience and revenue. When you, as a publisher, visit your own site frequently, you will see more ads than the average user because you spend more time on the site and don't bounce due to ads. For a more accurate view of ad density and its impact, you can use Big Data Analytics. This tool provides insights into important UX metrics, confirming that our ads are designed not to negatively impact the user experience. Additionally, you can adjust the ad setup to be as light as possible by disabling different ad types and settings - we offer extensive customization options.
It´s also worth noting that there have been multiple Google updates over the past few months, which could also be a factor in your traffic decline.

Anfangs Top, dann das komplette Gegenteil
Anfang 2023 gewechselt und durchaus steigenden Umsatz verzeichnet. Nicht wie erhofft, aber besser als Adsense. Doch dann wurde es für Ezoic unmöglich, den Pagespeed meiner Seite zu halten. Ohne Änderungen an meiner Seite ging es über Monate hinweg immer weiter bergab, und der Support schaffte es nicht, das Problem zu beheben. Dazu kamen extrem schlechte Umsätze und durch das HCU-Update von Google auch sinkende Besucherzahlen, für die Ezoic aber natürlich nichts konnte. Aber man muss sagen, dass ab dem Tag der "Premium-Mitgliedschaft" die Umsätze "sanken" und keiner wollte es mir glauben. Schlussendlich zog ich die Reißleine und wechselte die DNS-Server, um meine Seite wieder halbwegs schnell zu bekommen. Das klappte auch sofort, was mir einiges über die LEAP-Möglichkeiten von Ezoic aussagte. Viel Bling Bling und unzählige Möglichkeiten, aber schlicht keinen Erfolg. Nach dem Wechsel war bereits 24 Stunden später die Verweildauer von unglaublich schlechte 15 Sekunden auf 1:23 Minuten angestiegen und die Absprungrate fast 40 % geringer. Ezoic behielt jedoch die letzten 6 Wochen Einnahmen ein. Einfach mal so. Einnahmen, die meine Website ordnungsgemäß erwirtschaftet hat. Für mich jetzt eine Sache für den Anwalt und ein absolutes NO-GO. Meine Erfahrung am Ende: FINGER WEG!

Site Speed: Deine Seite hat ein sehr anspruchsvolles Design mit vielen Bildern und Medien, was erheblich zur Ladezeit beiträgt. Auch nach Entfernung der Ezoic-Integration bestehen weiterhin Probleme mit den Core Web Vitals. Zum Beispiel liegt der LCP-Wert auf Mobilgeräten bei 11 Sekunden, was auf generelle Optimierungsbedarfe hinweist, unabhängig von Ezoic. Leap hilft unzähligen Webseiten, ist aber kein Wunderheilmittel.
UX: Unsere Daten belegen, dass die durchschnittliche Besuchsdauer im Monat vor der Entfernung der Integration über 2 Minuten lag, mit einer durchschnittlichen Engaged Time/Visit von über 45 Sekunden und einer Absprungrate von nur 30%. Die von dir genannten 15 Sekunden können wir daher nicht nachvollziehen.
Umsätze: Seit Oktober 2023 ist der EPMV konstant gestiegen, selbst während der für viele Publisher herausfordernden Phasen im Q1 und Q2. Obwohl deine Besucherzahlen durch Google-Updates gesunken sind, hat Ezoic mehr Umsatz pro 1000 Besuche erzielt als zuvor. Mitte April 2024 erreichte deine Seite sogar den höchsten EPMV in deiner Zeit mit Ezoic seit 2023. Ezoic hat also, trotz der sinkenden Besucherzahlen, stets weiter optimiert – und das auch erfolgreich.
Premium: Deine Aussage "Ezoic behielt jedoch die letzten 6 Wochen Einnahmen ein. Einfach mal so." ist ohne Kontext nicht fair. Du hast dich bewusst für einen mehrjährigen Premium-Vertrag entschieden, um Zugang zu verschiedenen Vorteilen wie kostenlosen Premium-Phasen, SEO-Audits, Site Reviews und mehr zu erhalten. Diese Vorteile erfordern erhebliche Investitionen von Ezoic und daher ist es nur fair, dass beide Parteien ihren Teil der Vereinbarung einhalten - was in deinem Fall leider nicht geschehen ist. Wir legen großen Wert darauf, dass unsere Partner die Vertragsbedingungen vorab sorgfältig prüfen, da dies ein klares Verständnis der gegenseitigen Verpflichtungen und Vorteile gewährleistet, um Missverständnisse zu vermeiden.

Nach der ersten Aufregung will ich mich etwas zurücknehmen und nicht so fies damit ungehen. Momentan ist EZOIC für uns nicht so interessant, da die Bedingungen für ein Start Up relativ hart sind.

Beware of Predatory Contracts - Lack of Flexibility and Unfair Terms
I wish I was able to select zero stars!
I have been a loyal customer of Ezoic since 2018, and my recent experience with their Premium Service has been extremely disappointing. While Ezoic offers various optimization tools and services, the inflexibility and one-sided nature of their contract terms are predatory and unfair.
Key Issues:
Rigid Contract Terms: The agreement locks publishers into a 3-year contract with no option for early termination, even when business strategies change. This lack of flexibility is not reflective of a fair partnership and severely restricts publishers' ability to make necessary adjustments to their business models.
One-Sided Termination Rights: Only Ezoic retains the right to terminate the contract at any time, leaving publishers with no similar recourse. This imbalance creates a power dynamic that favors Ezoic and puts publishers at a significant disadvantage.
"Ezoic may terminate this Agreement at any time, with or without cause, upon ten (10) days’ notice to Publisher. Further, Ezoic may immediately terminate this Agreement due to Publisher’s breach of the Agreement or the Terms of Use, or otherwise terminate this Agreement in accordance with the Terms of Use."
Unhelpful Customer Support: Despite multiple requests for reconsideration and explaining my strategic need to transition to an ad-free experience and focus on Patreon, Ezoic's response has been rigid and dismissive. They have made it clear that the contract terms are non-negotiable, which has left me feeling trapped and frustrated.
Misleading Flexibility Claims: Ezoic claims to offer flexibility in ad setup and site optimizations, but this flexibility does not extend to the most critical aspect – the ability to exit the agreement if it no longer serves the publisher's needs.
For anyone considering partnering with Ezoic, I strongly advise you to read the contract terms carefully and consider the long-term implications. The lack of termination flexibility and the one-sided nature of the agreement can significantly impact your ability to pivot your business strategy. Ensure that you are fully aware of these restrictive terms before committing.

This demonstrates our willingness to work with you and find a solution that balances your preferences with the terms of our agreement.
It is also important to highlight that you entered into this multi-year partnership to gain access to various benefits, such as free premium periods, quarterly expert site review meetings, SEO audits, and more. These benefits require substantial investment from Ezoic, and it is only fair that both parties uphold their end of the agreement.
Additionally, Ezoic offers a month-to-month premium plan, where the publisher can choose to opt out at any point in time; so we are indeed very flexible. We encourage all our partners to carefully review contract terms before committing, as it ensures a clear understanding of the mutual obligations and benefits. We remain committed to supporting your long-term growth and success and hope to continue working together in a manner that respects the partnership we have established.

I tried EZOIC for almost 2 years to try to improve monetization for my blog on my website. Initially, I was excited to work with them and the customer service was very helpful and quick to help with set up and any issues. As time progressed, I consistently had issues with ads showing up on pages that I had ads disabled, noticed speed issues on my site and was disappointed the ads shown on my site were pretty spammy. Within the last year I had EZOIC, their Humix video ads just really trashed my site and constantly had even more issues. EZOIC changed their support levels so that you really could only talk to an AI bot or post a question in their community forum vs talk directly to someone in customer support. I finally gave up with them and once I disconnected my domain, my Google rankings for my website tanked because my website basically got reset. Months later, I am finally improving my site SEO and search rankings. Never again would I use EZOIC or a similar ad company. Definitely do not recommend them.

SSL handshake failed issue on Ezoic's Basic Ads website (basic.website)
I have been trying to login to Ezoic's Basic Ads website (basic.website) for the past 7 days. But their website shows SSL handshake failed. Their support team is so weak that they are lazy to solve SSL handshake failed.
Also, after monetizing the website from them, the site becomes very slow. Their ads takes a lot of time to load.
However, I hope their website (basic.website) fixes the SSL handshake failed very quickly.

The Ezoic team is really good and Bad at the same time, I had mistakenly reapplied for my website review as it was a last chance for my site approval, I requested Ezoic team thousands time that kindly cancel the review process on your end (The time it was not yet reviewed). I needed some time to work on my website but the team said we have canceled and when I woke up and saw my website was rejected by Ezoic and i was no longer able to apply again.
