They Don't Deliver On Their Promises Of Big $$$
Five months with Ezoic almost destroyed my blog. My writers threatened to quit. Ezoic promised three, four times the money I had made with Monumetric. The big money never happened. They never even got up to Monumetric level money ($5 to $8.) Ezoic promised $15 to $20, I got $2, $3, $4 and ran. Comically, "A" lied to my face and said, "we've consistently outperformed Monumetric" as if I was too stupid to know? Let me bottom line it and then I'll go into detail: My first month with AdSense I made more money than I made in my three biggest months with Ezoic. In other words, at best I was being paid 1/3 what my blog was actually capable of generating. The other two months I made 1/4. What they don't tell you is this: 1. Their ad revenue is an insane roller coaster ride. You can make $3 one day and $1 the next. 2. Their claims of AI fancy dancy unique whatever ways of building revenue does not exist. It's a come on, a fantasy and a lie. 3. Their tiered ad program where you pay for advertising out out of pocket is a scam. Do not fall for it. Frankly, I think it's the only way they're making payroll, is with the cash that the Premiere tier floats them. 4. Go on Reddit and search for Ezoic or go to Google and type in Ezoic Business Insider and read the story of the employee who stole millions. 5. In July of this year they laid off a lot of people. They're going under. Think of the HMS Titanic going down and that's Ezoic. Further, customer service is shockingly bad. I had a rep, "B", who assured me that he would find a way for me to get the same analytics data as Google UA had when the G4 transition took place. He did not. On the last day of UA he sent me on yet another wild goose chase and this time my instincts told me to call my techie. That gentleman told me that B's suggestion was a duplicate of G4 and a complete waste of time. B either didn't know this or didn't care. His philosophy was to just throw $hit at the walls and hope that something stuck. When I confronted him, he told me that his words were meant to be "moral support" and that he never intended me to believe he'd get an actual answer. My techie found the answer for me in under a minute. If B had just said, "I don't know" six weeks earlier, I would have taken independent action. I relied on B's word to my detriment. This is how lawsuits happen. Then back to "A". She started laughing once during a zoom meeting when I was telling a serious story about my business. I said, "You find this funny?" She said, "Oh, I was looking at a kitty meme on the computer." The hell with listening to the customer, play with kitty cat memes. It was an insulting and degrading experience to "work" with these people. The SEO review was a complete joke. Nothing works the way that "C" another employee, said it did. My opinion is that they tell you if you make little tweaks here and there it will raise your SEO standing. They do this to justify why you're not making any money. You're not making any money because you're with Ezoic. Leave them and watch your income soar. It has to because you're in the basement with Ezoic. Finally, management is something out of a Broadway satire. I asked for a Closing Memo when I left. "D" didn't know what that was and found it threatening somehow that I asked for such a thing. A Closing Memo or Statement Of Accounts, it has different names, is simply something in writing when two people dissolve a business arrangement which states the expectations of the parties. All I asked for was when I would be paid my money and the interest on my money. This is normal in business. People write down dates of payment, return of keys, if that's applicable, how excess product will be disposed off -- it's just how business is conducted on this planet. You put everything in writing. But not with these people. They are amateurs. The site itself looks like it was designed by a 4th grader, with jagged green mountains and it is the most non-user friendly site that I've ever encountered. They don't have basic information like pageviews, RPM, clicks, impressions, all the raw data on one sheet like every ad revenue company in existence. I should have taken this as a sign and run the first week. My bad. That one's on me, because the handwriting was on the wall that this was amateur hour. I always like to be fair and end a review by stating what was done right. In this case, nothing whatsoever. Ezoic deserves an F minus all the way across the boards and the people I've named belong in some other line of work. In closing let me say that I have a colleague who has a blog in the same vertical as mine and she had the identical experience with Ezoic. We are both now with AdSense and getting paid what Ezoic promised and never came anywhere even close to delivering. Not even 50% of the way. Buyer Beware. If you go with these people, best of luck. You'll need it.
