You have to sign up with a credit card. Not a useful site.
Response from EyeQueJan 29, 2020
Hi Syed, you do not need to provide any credit card information to create an account with us on our website or for any of our apps. We do however, require a credit card for any EyeQue device orders. Please let us know if there's anything we can do to help you out with your account and thank you for leaving a review.

When I first received it, I couldn't get the unit to pair. Left it on the charger a couple of days and it paired the next time I tried. Could only find 2 of the 3 tests it said I needed to take over the next couple of weeks. I put it down and decided to try later. Again couldn't get it to pair - with a full charge. Tried a few days later and it said my subscription had run out and I didn't have it a full 30 days. I wouldn't call myself a technical expert but I own a computer store and ran a RadioShack for several years. I love the idea of this product but I don't feel like its ready. To add insult to injury, when I sent it back, I got a partial refund.

Hi Laura, pairing the bluetooth requires a few steps depending on the type of phone you have and does not pair like other devices like speakers. We have a great tips video specifically for bluetooth pairing here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iK-7zvt0ZVU. Thank you for giving EyeQue a try, we sincerely appreciate your feedback.

Haven't used the product yet because the software is so intrusive. First it wants access to my contacts? WHY:? So I said no. Then it wants me to turn on my location. WHY? Contacted customer support and they say it doesn't use it, just helps Android phones connect??? WTFuzzy? I have 14 bluetooth devices and not one needs my location to connect. NO. This is going back. Might be a great device, but not worth the cost in privacy. ******* EyeQue responded to my concerns by sending me to a discussion on the use of Bluetooth low energy scans. What this told me is that, as a programmer for the last 50 years, I could see that their software developer made a DELIBERATE and UNNECESSARY choice to put peoples privacy in jeopardy. Turning on location isn't just an issue of what EyeQue might or might not do with my information. It means that a half dozen other pieces of software on my phone, to which I have refused access to my location, suddenly will be receiving it! If Google will not address the issue with it's OS releases, THEN DON'T USE IT! Furthermore, by continuously linking me back to Trustpilot, a "review" company that keeps asking me to allow them to send me sales information, I feel that EyeQue is more interested in making money off of side deals and selling my information than in providing helpful equipment. Thank you for the useless support. This time bomb is going back.

Thank you for adding to your review. We understand your frustration. Our top priority is expanding access to eye care for those who have limited access and to those who want to take a more proactive approach to their vision. We're truly sorry that the bluetooth connection of our device requires Android to has to ask for your location/contacts. We have no interest in that information, we just want to help people test their vision. Reaching out to customers and hearing their feedback is another top priority for us. This is new technology and a new concept, and in order to improve, we need to hear from as many customers as possible. Us, among thousands of other companies use review platforms such as Trustpilot to help in that effort. If you'd like to start a return process, please email [email protected]. Additionally, we will remove your email from our database so you are no longer contacted by EyeQue or Trustpilot. Again, thank you for leaving a review. Your feedback is valuable and will be shared amongst the team.

I am unable to use it. When I try it gives Me a terrible headache. I have tried several times, and always the same results.
Response from EyeQueJan 29, 2020
Hi Phillip, thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback. If you are using the VisionCheck or Personal Vision Tracker, we have really great tips and troubleshooting videos on our youtube page. Off the bat, a huge tip that helps our users is to take the test sitting down with your elbows resting on a table. Also, it's important to turn up your screen brightness to help with seeing the red and green lines. Please let us know if these tips help or not, we'd love to help you to the best of our ability so reach out to us at [email protected] any time!

When I finally got a new phone that would handle the program they wanted more money just to access it.
Response from EyeQueJan 29, 2020
Hi there, there is no additional charge to run our app or device on different or newer phones. There is however, a $4.99 annual subscription. The first year is free with purchase and if you've used your device for over a year, there is an additional $4.99 charge for the next year. Please let us know if you have any other questions regarding our subscription fee at [email protected]. Thank you for the feedback!

The quality of the iPhone app is so low it makes the product nothing short of unusable. The UI is extremely bad: nothing aligned, labels unevenly spread across the screen, colors are random and overall it is an eye bleach to anyone who has ever used an iOS device.
Response from EyeQueJan 29, 2020
Hi Egor, thank you for the honest feedback. We are making major strides in improving the UI and app experience. We are a start up and these improvements take a little bit of time, but we'll have two major releases this spring - we really hope you give us another shot at that time.
