Had a rough time setting up the phone to perform the test. Kept on getting in a loop of setting the screen to highest setting and then told to exit and restart the app. Couldn't get around the fact that the setting was at maximum already, it wouldn't let me advance to the test. Not clear on how I got past that, but when I did the test seemed to go okay. I still can't understand how a person can focus the non-test eye on something and perform the test with the other. My brain can't handle 2 different focal objects simultaneously. One eye or the other will win out. The Try-On glasses are great, they gave me confidence in the prescription. Very good and inexpensive method to check before buying more costly pairs of glasses. They came quickly, too. All told, I am still enthused with the product(s). Saves time and money both.

Worked great!

Worked great! I was a bit skeptical at first and had a few inconsistencies, but I tested my eyes about 15 times just to feel comfortable with the prescription it gave me. I ordered a pair of glasses from Zenni and it turns out that the prescription EyeQue gave me was accurate.

Hi there! Yes, as you have discovered, it can take a bit of practice to get used to, but when done correctly, you can generate reliable EyeGlass Numbers. We're glad you have clearer vision now!

Seems to work pretty well. I liked the improvement to my distance vision - so much so that I ordered a second pair of trial glasses so I would have a spare. The actual measurement process is pretty fiddley. It took me several attempts before I finally got it right. Not nearly as easy as the website video seems to show. That is why 4 stars instead of 5.

Thank you so much for your review; we appreciate all of the feedback that we receive. The test can be a little aggravating, but the more that you take the test, the easier it should become. We are working on ways to improve and shorten this process, so please be on the lookout.

They try really hard to please, which counts for a lot. They do need to improve some things: 1. The Insight does not produce any numbers useful for ordering glasses. The test consists of guessing which way E's point as they get smaller, until you are guessing blind (literally), 4 at a time, so wild guesses have a 25% chance of being right (unless my math is off). It also tests for contrast vision, also using E's, that fade out stepwise (same issues). And color vision, which does a good job of challenging that. But I already knew I have good color vision. So I sent it back and got a PVT. It will eventually produce numbers you can use, but I'm finding it hard to use. It places red and green bars (at different angles for each iteration), and by tapping +/- buttons on the smartphone screen you bring them into convergence. The problem is that they are not centered, but off to the side, and it takes some english on the eyepiece to even find them; the slightest twitch and one or both of the color bars completely vanish. So trying to tap a screen button and keeping both colors in view is a real chore. With my eyes, the bars are a little curved (and not alike), so they never converge perfectly, so I assume that their best overlay satisfies the test. I haven't yet done the 3 first tests that they average for your first results. The first go was so tiring I had to quit for a while. Time will tell if they report anything like my current prescription, which works well enough. The other thing that needs improving is the clarity of the descriptions on the website. I got the Insight first, thinking it would do everything the lower cost ones would, plus some. Not at all. The PVT does what I wanted, and the VisionCheck is a PVT with remote control and bluetooth, so if you are handy with your hands, the PVT will do. It might ease that twitch problem by taking the select buttons off the phone screen. If you dig deep enough and can translate the argot, you can detect that the PVT and Insight tests do not overlap, but that fact should be right up there in front in plain English: "If you want numbers you can order glasses by, DO NOT get the Insight."
