One if not THE worst company's I've ever dealt with.None of the departments knows what the other is doing. Every time I speak with someone I get a different story, even if it's about their policy. The only time I will get my medication on time is if I'm the one checking up on it, if there are any issues I have to be the one to chase everyone around to make sure everything is done. I'm speaking facts since too many times I've had delays & they go from delays to now total cancellation of my medication without anyone even informing me it would be canceled or that is was canceled. About every third order we have some kind of an issue, find another Pharmacy and have more time and less grey hair.

Not worthy of 1 star
Not worthy of 1 star, they risk the lives of patients with thier incompetence. They intentionally create kaos so as to never fill a prescription. Never in all my days have I dealt with such morons!

Worst Pharmacy in America
This is the worst pharmacy in America which explains why they got the contract from the Government for my health insurance (Tri-West/Tricare Retiree). I am sure they were no doubt the lowest bidder because it shows in their level of concern for the patient and level of effort/support they provide.
In December my doctor prescribed me Contrave weight loss drug. Express Scripts immediately required a letter of authorization from my doctor because I did not take the generic prior to this prescription. When my doctor explained that she did not recommend the generic because I take another prescription that clearly shows a major drug interaction with the generic. This was not enough to persuade them and again the prescription was immediately denied. I was sent a letter that gave me the option of jumping through many hoops to appeal. It didn’t matter to them that they mailed me the other prescription that had a major drug interaction with the generic, their process is to immediately deny and start setting up roadblocks. When I called to complain, they acknowledged that they can see the drug interaction warning for combining the generic with the other prescription but were required to deny. No matter how much I tried to convince them to use common sense or try to see things from my perspective, which was I don’t want to take the chance of coma or death, but nothing I said was able to convince them. I then made the mistake of writing a 3 page letter to Tri-West, in an effort to circumvent the people at Express Scripts, but of course Tri-West sent me a letter that said all pharmacy issues are handled by Express Script so we have forwarded your letter to them. That was the last I heard on this issue. No explanation, no justification. They just closed my case.
Luckily for me, the maker of Contrave, Currax Pharmaceuticals LLC, has a wonderful program for people like me, who have terrible health insurance. They have a doctor call me and then write a prescription ($49), then they mail me 30 days worth of medicine for $99. That might seem high to some but when I considered the alternative, taking a generic for $10/month but risk coma or death, I decided to use the program. I have been taking for about 3 months now and lost about 14 pounds with no side effects, so I feel I made the right decision.
I have 30 years of military service and I never once made a decision based on cost over risk so I am confused as to why the Government would pick Express Scripts to service my pharmacy needs. I honestly feel like I have no prescription drug coverage. In March I had a similar problem when my doctor prescribed me Denavir for fever blisters but I just gave up after they asked my doctor for a letter of authorization.
Express Scripts is a terrible uncaring company. They are incapable of using common sense or an ounce of compassion. I pray every night that they do not get their contract renewed. I am very sorry that I have to say bad things about any company, I always try to be positive but the things I wrote are absolutely true. I still have not recovered from the experience.

Absolutely awful
Absolutely awful. Company mission statement must be "deny til they die." This company knows WAY more than your doctor, denies medication coverage, and, after sitting on "hold" for nearly an hour, representatives have twice given incorrect information.

Need pill packaging for my 96 year old…
Need pill packaging for my 96 year old Mom. We are happy to pay extra for the service, but with ExpressScripts she has NO DRUG coverage if she has this done by another pharmacy. Shocking ExpressScripts doesn't provide the service themselves. So my Mom can roll the dice with her meds. Run away from any plan that uses ExpressScripts. It also took 3 hours of going back and forth between these companies to find the out because ExpressScripts' mumble mouth, untrained employees are unknowledgeable, unhelpful, and give out wrong information.

The company I work for was sold to a larger pharmaceutical company and for some reason they figured express scripts was the best choice for people that know the pharmacy laws and have to deal with their crap on a day to day basis. I have been getting a 3 month supply of my meds from my local pharmacy for years and now because of the switch I have to fight to be able to get a month at a time from my local because they want me to use them directly and have my meds mailed to my home. I do not live in an area where this is an option. My mail has been stolen or delivered to the wrong address on multiple occasions but express scripts thinks that I can have medications mailed without an issue. They out to be shut down and liquidated.

This company thinks they are above the law. They were a great company and then a couple years ago they got bought out. They have horrible customer service. I will never use them again for as long as I live. They are FIRED for life.
It all started out when they price gouged me charging over 3 times more for medication than I had been getting charged from my previous supplier. They refused to adjust the price. So I returned the merchandise. They repeatedly kept charging my credit card and I kept having to have the credit card company reverse the charges. I finally cancelled the credit card. Then they started charging my replacement credit card. I have no idea how they got the number, but some how they are in bed with VISA. I cancelled that VISA card. Note I NEVER gave them the replacement credit card number. In my opinion they have engaged in a fraud. These guys are bad news and should be avoided.

Won't fix order incorrect order sent
Won't fix order incorrect order sent. I'd like to be able to trust a pharmacy to get an order right, but I can't trust express scripts. After many emails sent to me by express scripts trying to get me to convert a prescription filled in a local pharmacy to their mail order filling, I gave in. They told me I could get a 90 day supply filled for 2/3 the price I was paying at my local pharmacy. I clicked on their link and they confirmed an Rx 90 day supply for $20. What I received was a one month month supply for $20, twice the cost I was paying locally for a one month supply. I sent them an email (they make you use their site to email them so you don't get to keep a copy of your message) asking them to either send me 60 days more of the drug or to refund me the difference in cost between what I received and the one month cost. They sent a reply telling me to phone them, which I did. After countless minutes on hold without them answering, I sent them another email asking them to reply to me by email. Their reply consisted of a message on their site, so again I have no record of their reply. Their reply was essentially they won't correct the problem. They talked about how drugs cannot be returned because they would have to destroy them. I never suggested returning the drugs, I just wanted 90 days worth since that is what I ordered and I only received 3O days worth. They avoided speaking to sending me 60 days more supply or adjusting their bill for a 90 day supply to a month's supply. I guess I will have to file a complaint with the state licensing board and contest my credit card charge since they won't address their screw up in filling my Rx.
