I was provided inconsistent…
I was provided inconsistent information. The information changed with each person with whom I spoke. I later learned the first person had not submitted the prior authorization. I later learned from a supervisor that a prior authorization submission to the physician was not necessary. She said it could be done immediately by agent inputting certain information to which a response is immediate. In this case it was a denial after several phone calls to them and me contacting the doctor multiple times. It was a waste of time for all involved.
