This past March I ordered 3 generic meds from Express Scripts. The total cost of the 3 was $13.34. Yesterday, only 2.5 months later, I ordered the same 3 meds. The cost this time! $31.34. I called and questioned this increase of 2.5X. I talked with 3 different agents : Agent 1 blamed the increase on deductibles (wrong!). Agent 2 said each of the 3 different pharma companies tripled their prices for my 3 meds over the past 2.5 months. Huh? The price of oil hasn’t gone up 3X since March (wrong!). Agent 3 blamed it on Express Scripts itself, and offered to put me on hold and find a cheaper pharmacy. After 10 minutes she came back and said she found a different pharmacy and 1 of my 3 meds would only cost me $7.67. Huh? That same med thru Express Scripts was only $6.03. (Wrong!). I hung up on the agent. So I spent nearly an hour on the phone, and got 3 different wrong answers from 3 different people (including 2 supervisors). Will the additional $18 hurt me? No. But there are many other people out there, who are struggling to make ends meet, and who are being taken advantage of by Express Scripts! This is WRONG! WRONG! WRONG! And shameful!

Why after 10 years on Medicare and TRICARE for life would they call to verify you don’t have another insurance. That’s truly harassment. We’re old and it confuses people. Shame on express scripts which we will stop using completely. You lost a customer…..

I have tried for several years to figure out how to use express-scripts, because Wellcare wants its members to use them. Express-scripts repeatedly looks for ways NOT to fill prescriptions - "We need to talk to your doctor" "We have questions about your prescription" "Your prescription is still in processing and we don't know when it will ship". You name it, they come up with it. Finally, today, I gave up. I transferred all prescriptions to my local pharmacy and will not have to deal with Express-Scripts again.

The App and Website are useless. By the time I get a notification of medications being processes, it's too late to change the delivery date. The App and Website don't allow many changes and this results in having to call customer service. The representatives can't help much at all and most cases you need to hold for a manager. Most cases if a medication processing is cancelled, you need to contact your doctor to reissue the script.

Express Scripts routinely delays life essential prescriptions, even with valid Rx and PA, for weeks, based on nothing. This pattern of behavior by Express Scripts causes life threatening gaps in care. Because this is such a recurring problem i have filed a complaint with my state insurance oversight board. I encourage everyone else here to contact your state’s OIC (office of insurance commissioner) and file complaints too. We deserve better from our pharmacies and PBMs.

My employer's health plan insurance, Blue-Cross/Blue Shield's "HIghmark"- yet another dismal experience and review on its review page of which we purchase the "Premium" healthcare coverge and pay more accordingly for it - pnly offers ExpressScripts for its drug/presription coverage, which is an absolute joke with co-pay pricing being at least double the price than most or any of the discount programs available such as GoodRx and any other discount program that one can Google and shop. Then there's the Fact that any of whatever prescription drug that ExpressSripts determine, by their own discretion apparently since any other prescription service has never considered a couple of our prescription to be a "Specialty" prescriptions per ExpressScript's "Accredo" subsidiary and their guru's reviews that declined to even fill the prescription let alone to cover it via our overpaid for prescription insurance coverage and copay of such. They literally informed us that after Accredo's "review" that we did not need the prescription and therefore would not cover it.. and mind you all that we had and have been using these couple of prescriptions for nearly a decade with no "reviews" of coverage by any other prescription providers.- it was simply covered under the plan and filled and co-paid with no issues, questions or problems. Ever. So- advice to never use ExpressScripts for anything would be Highly advised. Go anywhere- elsewhere. google around and compare the many discount programs and save your hard-earned money - Do Not Use ExpressScripts. They are Terrible and even google their issues with legal trouble - even in regard to the US Congress and gov they have legal issues due to their fleecing and gouging millions of people and insurances.

This is a terrible company. Or insurance is forcing us to users them and they are awful

Customer service is nonexistent! The robot that answers the phone will NOT give you access to a person! She keeps asking if she answered all your questions which she did NOT!
