Black water coming up in my bathroom floor all week. Had to keep door closed and port whole open in room, crews solution was to pour bleach down the drain and come in with deodorizer spray not fix the problem.Needless to say it was not a good experience.

Our crew on the Emperor Explorer were fantastic!! Very accommodating, hard working, friendly, polite and curious people they made my trip memorable. I loved the vessel, the food, and especially the diving. Thank you all for hard work and service. Roger Coe

Caribbean Explorer II surpasses other Liveaboard experiences This liveaboard experience earns the highest ratings due to the sincere, professional efforts of captain and crew. Pre-board check-in was an example of what was to come: smooth, effective, efficient and enjoyable. Required documents were listed in E Mail weeks in advance detailing health, safety, experience and customs information. Special diver requirements were identified (diet, experience, equipment) and addressed throughout the adventure. Prior to the first dive, Captain Bob and DM's Brett and Bri held group meetings to address safety, expectations, facilities and functional procedures so we all had a clear understanding of operation. Pre-dive meetings were presented by dive masters Brett and Bri were clear, well planned, sufficient in detail, and informative. Books from the on-board library were frequently referenced for information of the multitude of sea creatures that the DM's pointed out underwater. Video aid for maps and sea life were used in the presentations. Following the dives, many people compared their personal photos to these docs to identify their encounters. Dive sites were well chosen and with diver input for interest. Typically, we had 4-8 divers per DM, a much better ratio than other dive trips I've attended. Several of us asked to visit sea horses, and we did! I have incredible photos now in my collection. Thanks Bob, Bri and Brett. The boat, individual cabins, common areas, and linens, were cleaned daily. The boat's paint, carpeting, furniture, and equipment were good to excellent. Believe me, I've seen many boat bottoms in my diving experience. The hot shower on the dive deck was definitely built by divers for divers. A quick hot rinse followed by a clean warm dry towel directly from the dryer made every dive much more enjoyable. Not to mention the hot chocolate served on the dive deck by Captain Bob--a very welcomed, unexpected treat. Details such as these made a world of difference of my memory for the experience. Individual rooms were kept cool to control humidity and its effects, and was compensated by in-room hot showers with unlimited amounts of fresh water and plenty of clean towels. The rooms were fresh at all times and contained extra blankets for night time comfort. The food? Outside being 5-star quality and abundant, what else needs to be stated? How can that happen on a boat? The crew, including Captain, DM's and engineers, complemented their responsibilities as needed to make it all happen. Amazing to watch. No job too small for anyone. Thanks for giving me this experience. I will absolutely recommend this excursion and crew. Date of Experience: February 25.

Great service, great food ample dive and good memories!

Dove on the Caribbean Explorer 2. The crew was excellent, particularly chef Julian. Everyone on board did great. The diving was also very nice. I was very happy with the trip, and I highly recommend it. The only significant problem I had was with the boat. The cabins are always very cold (too cold). That might be ok in the Summer, but the water was cold on this trip. It was very hard to warm up afterwards.

The diving guides were phenomenal. I saw creatures i have never seen before due to their diligence in finding things. The diving on Saba and St Kitts was gorgeous. The captain was knowledgeable and made us all feel very safe. I recommend doing the land tours. The islands are very interesting. The boat is an older one, but it worked out great. My room was loud when in port due to the rough water and the lines to the dock. This made for a sleepless night after travel. One suggestion would be to not have the AC quite so cold. it really was chilly after diving. Overall, i would definitely come back.
