Great site for 'experts exchanging', but it has its bad moments
I had a month trial with Experts Exchange and I was very happy with the answers I received to my questions...eventually! I wrote about 5-10 questions during that month, nothing that I would consider abusive or even close to 'unfair usage', but each question I seemed to answer would always get either an irrelevant response, or would take around 5 posts to get a response that is actually relevant or related to my question. Whether this is the experts', that EE hires, technique to get more money for the amount of posts they make or whether it's to do with just genuine misunderstanding, it seemed to happen quite often - now I know it's normal for humans to misunderstand things, but the responses just made it seem deliberate (meaning, I never usually have issue with people misunderstanding as I am quite clear with my words) Overall, whilst I would eventually get the responses I'm looking for, the community is pretty friendly (even though I did have one moment where my thread was turned into a discussion between two experts for like three pages) and gets you decent, timely support 24/7 at a great price - unfortunately however I've seen free support forums give almost the same support if not better, so I would only recommend paying for EE if you want a quick response and can't wait.
