In this case, you submitted your questionnaire in October 2024, and we immediately filed an extension to December 15. Your 2023 return was completed and delivered on November 29, with notice that the IRS e-file system would close the following day. Because e-filing was no longer possible, we prepared a paper-filing package that included copies of your return and clear instructions to print, sign, and mail it to the IRS. We understand how frustrating this must have felt, but the process and next steps were clearly communicated.

We are very much in business and we are sorry, but have no record of you trying to reach out and contact us either by phone or email. We value our client relationships and make it a top priority to get back to clients in a timely manner when they reach out. Regarding your specific question, we delivered your Streamlined submission package a few months ago with clear written instructions that they need to be signed by you and sent to the IRS. A mailing address was enclosed with the instructions, so assuming that you’ve followed the instructions and mailed in the returns, then the returns have been filed. The FBAR component of the submission was e-filed, and accepted, and the acknowledgement of such was uploaded to your client area on our portal.
