Friendly and helpful, some of the jargon i didn't understand but they were there to guide and help me!

Very good service, but there is always room for improvement. E.g. successful remission of penalty interest.

Very convenient to do online. Usually prompt responses. Last year my tax processing was far slower than usual. Not sure why. I do find the service quite expensive, especially as the Aussie dollar is only 75% of US. May need to look for another provider.

They're not cheap, and the time from submission to finalized return can take up to six weeks in the spring. But their work is fine.

Generally great service, except that team made a mistake (on a complex matter) that will ultimately cost me a few thousand dollars in interest and penalties, hence the 4 stars.

Overall I find Ex-Pat very Professional and Knowledgeable. I deducted one star for the following reasons: 1. Instructions for 2018 tax return was not clear in terms of what documents needed to be forwarded to the IRS-initially given conflicting instructions. 2. Its not clear to me how my taxes are calculated. I was told that all taxes are based upon my Pension income (treated as gains versus deferred). However, if taxes are based upon Pension gains it equates to more than a 50% tax rate. Still need clarity on what tax rate I will be subject to in an effort to reduce taxable income.
