I cancelled my subscription but they continued to take money out of my Apple Pay account.
I cancelled my subscription but they continued to charge my card $120 per month. I’ve asked for a refund. I’ve let them know their marketing is deceptive and fraudulent.

I listed with EVVNT and ran for months, shelling out $320/month. I run a tiny venue, every dollar counts. How many clicks did we get? 0. For THOUSANDS of dollars.

Hi Michael, I found your account and passed this over to client services to reach out. You appear to have more event marketing credits than you need and I'd suggest submitting events to Christmas - much further out than what you are currently doing.

Event Titles are incredibly important, I'd advise 'one word' titles will not work well in search - eg: Maestro!
I've asked client services to reach out and run an account review.

Wish I could leave no stars - they earned it.
Shame I couldn't give this company 0 stars. I signed up on January 27 to help promote the St. Petersburg Distance Classic, to be staged a few weeks later, on February 12. Their promotional material suggested their mailing list consisted only of subscribers who opted in. There was also info suggesting that they could deliver to a highly targeted audience. So I signed up to have 5,000 emails sent out to opt-in subscribers who live within 3 miles of our start line, hoping for a last minute boost. What did I get for my $300? A total of 674 email opens, a pitiful open rate of 13.5% and just 62 clicks, slightly less than $5 per click. While I understand there is no guarantee when it comes to any marketing campaign, it would have been better to spend $30 a day for 10 days at Facebook to increase my last minute marketing. I have requested a refund, but true to form for this rip-off company, they have refused.

Event marketing requires more than just the power of an Event Ticketing, Marketing and discovery platform like Evvnt it also requires a great event and consumer interest in attending. We certainly give the events information a good push to multiple consumer channels but the consumer has to be looking and the event needs to be good.
Email Marketing is using a opt in database - ideal if you don't have your own email lists. A good email open rate should be between 17-28%, depending on the industry you're in. While knowing these numbers is a great starting point, it's worth it to look into your specific industry averages and compare your metrics with those in your specific industry. By Campaign Monitor - 13.5 is not terrible but could be better and more likely from internal targeted lists.
Facebook lost it's targeting power post Apples privacy introduction as it's now very hard for the big ad firms to arget without pixel tracking.
Evvnt has been in business for 10 years, we work with some of the worlds leading publishers and indeed events institutions all the way down to local authorities. We certainly work VERY hard to please, but you can't always please everyone.
As we'd executed the ad campaign, it was sent, consumers saw it, clicked, responded - it was not relevant to a refund.
Evvnt is The Event Ticketing & Marketing Platform and we welcome all event creators with budgets starting from $29.

Absolute pain in the backside
Absolute pain in the backside. Tried to add one listing to a local news website and have subsequently been bombarded with spammy emails from Evvnt. "Reply with UNSUBSCRIBE" it says in the emails. This does not work. Have had to add my own filter to send them to spam. Luckily while clearing my spam folder I spotted this invitation to leave them a review. Well, here you go. Avoid!

Thank you for the feedback on the submission process, we are working on a revised submission workflow for 2023 so apologies for your 2022 experience. We supply a free service to news media companies to enable free listings to a local site. We do also supply premium marketing and ticketing services which we introduce by email - the Unsubscribe process is a feature in the back off of your Evvnt account which we set up and supply to every event creator who submits an events. With out financial undertones we'd be unable to supply the service we supply today to enable you to submit unlimited free events to your local newspaper. Please not for free you can list, edit, clone and repeat post unlimited listings. You can also log in to your account and turn off all email notifications. We always welcome customer feedback and I will ensure your comments are relayed to the product team. For other reviews see here - https://evvnt.com/success/

Did not deliver on 2 occasions. Quantity over quality.
We tried using Evvnt on two occasions. On both occasions terrible. Only to realise they advertised our London, UK events on mock websites based in New York such as Event Yard that I has never been heard of in making you believe you're getting value for money. Sadly, those websites don't exist anymore...no surprise. They tout themselves as a network partner with over 2500 event publishers of which 95% I have never heard of, and they very rarely include known event websites. In addition what did get listed did not have active URLs to convert readers into sales, yet their internal dashboard claims there have been click-throughs. I have emailed on multiple occasions the team members (mainly Loui D & Craig B) to be removed from their mailing list. Even got a reply for the CEO Richard Green saying this is confirmed. Yet...I still get emails. I even had two friends who have used them recently in the past and complained of them too.
If you look carefully all other positive reviews they were written years ago using inactive user accounts whom have only 1-2 reviews to their name. Highly recommend avoiding this company.

Hi Nolan, Thank you for your feedback, we always appreciate the time take for reviews - good and bad - it allows us to progress the service.
To your points - we today power local news in the US - and USA Today is an example - quite well known - https://evvnt.com/blog/2020/07/evvnt-goes-live-across-the-usa-today-for-gannett/ and in the UK / specifically London we power Newsquest and also Archant newspapers https://evvnt.com/blog/2021/10/get-your-local-event-noticed-with-new-newsquest-uk-partnership-to-put-your-local-events-on-the-map/
The pandemic created a huge change in the landscape and we have culled over 600 sites and added many new ones to the service.
We have never, will never write our own reviews - we simply look to encourage our customers to share their experience so we can continue to supply the service and improve it.

Still waiting on refund 2 weeks later!
Signed up to promote our events, wasn't impressed with the return and cost for said results. So I closed the account. Fast forward 1 month and they charged my card again for over $100. Evvnt emailed back on Nov 25 saying the refund will be actioned, it's now Dec 10th and I'm still awaiting the refund for the charge I did not authorise!

Hi Wesley,
The delays on refunds where totally my fault as we had the team offsite for end of year planning, I was the blocker, the delay was due to me not at my desk and I must apologize.
I’ve emailed at the time. Sorry to hear this round of marketing was not as effective as the last - we are all at the mercy of consumer interest!
Best wishes for 2020 - Richard Green - CEO
