The only thing tolerable about Evite is that it has a free version. I have never seen a more poorly implemented product.
Evite exists to make gathering feel possible. We're the original digital invite—built not just to collect RSVPs, but to handle the invisible work of hosting: tracking headcount, nudging guests who haven’t answered, and making sure the details are covered before anyone arrives. With over 120 million users and more than 3 billion invitations sent, we've been behind some of life’s most meaningful gatherings, from birthday parties, to baby showers, and dinners that went longer than planned, giving hosts everything they need to stop managing the moment and actually be in it.Together starts here.

I have used Evite in the past (at least 4 years) with much success but lately it seems like the messages are not getting to the guests, the buttons and website are not user friendly and the invitations are limited. The pop up ads are getting very excessive. I think this might be the last time I use them. I will be looking around for other options in the future instead of using evite.

I found that many of the 30+ invites I sent went to the person’s email or message spam. I did them over again on my own, doing many separate texts, and guests verified that they’d never seen the evite. In retrospect I would have just done it myself in the first place and saved money and aggravation. And people wonder if they’re being hacked. A lot of hassle and money for nothing.

I use the site for a monthly church event, and mostly it works fine. I’m pretty computer literate and can search for solutions. But when I hit a bigger question I am either asked to wait days for an email response or asked to pay to get an answer. I already pay hundreds of dollars a year for this service and shouldn’t be asked to a) pay for support and b) enter credit card information to yet another random site.

Great for organizing, but I’m unable to respond to events by replying to their SMS messages, and typing hello only directs you to another email address for support. This wouldn’t be an issue, but I still can’t reply to an evite after clicking the link without providing an email address. It’s a clunky, frustrating experience.

I got all finished with my invitation only to find out I cannot email my invitation without paying for an upgrade. Fine. I was willing to pay the 17.99 only to find out $17.99 will get me only 15 invitations. I had to cancel and go to another site. What a waste of time!

Really expensive, limited and basically feels like a con! You cant add an English phone number or send by text as it only accepts american phone numbers (they may say it does but you cant get past the phone field with an English number)! You actually buy a redemption to code which you can only use against 1 invite at a time so you cant interchange your invites. When it comes on a smart phone the invite is distorted and doesn't have all the details or chops bit off! $29.99 for 40 invites is a waste of money! I haven't even got to the experience of it being blocked or going into junk email yet! Wish i hadn't started with it.Advice - use someone else.

I could not see the names of people responding on my evite. I wrote the company on 10/2/10 and got a response on 11/2/10!! The party was 10/16!! The 2nd problem is the beta and basic evite are not working together. I had an evite on beta I never received. Only reason I found it was the beta site popped up while I was working on my sons birthday evite.
