Brunswick is now a low quality product
Brunswick is now a low quality product. Don't press on the surface along the rails or you might find the holes left in the slate. Some are filled but some are not. Agree that it should not impact ball travel unless you don't stretch the felt by pressing in the exposed slate holes. Good luck. Judson and Everything Billiards are great (5 star) but they follow the Brunswick installation standard, which is a low bar product quality.

Walter, Thanks for the positive feedback on our crew, and please let me know if you want us to come fill the slate holes that are admittedly out of the play area. I do think that Brunswick is a quality product and we stand behind it, as does Brunswick. As I explained on the phone, we do not typically fill slate holes that are not within the play area. Brunswick slate holes are under the rail rubber and the ball physically cannot roll over these holes. Also, as I explained on the phone, I will come back and fill the holes if they bother you - free of charge. Or I can just give you a healthy discount on a refelt when you are ready, and we will fill the slate holes then.
