Shipping old ink. Print head clogs. They need to tighten up their operation and either fix the issues or set expectations prior to sale.

Printer is less than six months old and I have to buy a $600 printhead. People are mentioning that this is very common and expect to replace the printhead twice a year. In two years that's the cost of the original purchase. I would not have wasted my money on this had I known. I love most of it's capability but accuracy on things like challenge coins is not good at all, even with jigs and zero point mode. I think I will look for another UV printer elsewhere and sell this one.

Thank you for setting this out clearly, and for being fair about what the machine does well alongside what it doesn't. The cost question you raise deserves a direct answer rather than a defensive one. On the printhead. At just under six months, yours falls outside the standard warranty period on printheads, which are classified as consumable parts. Before we leave it there, though, we'd like to check two things properly: whether you have an eufyMake Care plan in place, which would cover a replacement printhead within its service period, and what your machine's logs actually show — ink usage, cleaning cycle frequency, and how the printhead has degraded over that time. On challenge coin accuracy. This is a separate problem from the printhead, and it's one we'd genuinely like to help with. Small, dense, high-detail work on metal is demanding, and if registration is off even with jigs and zero point mode, there's a specific cause to find rather than a limitation to accept. Our team can review your settings and media setup with you — this doesn't require any parts or spend. On the wider cost question. The point that consumables add up to a significant ongoing cost is fair, and we're not going to argue with it. Your feedback — including the shelf life on ink, filters and scrapers, and the cost of keeping the machine running — has been passed back internally. Please email us at [email protected] with your printer's serial number and order details, referencing this review. We'll review your coverage and your logs, and come back to you with a straight answer on the printhead, plus practical help on the coin accuracy. We'd be sorry to lose you over something we haven't yet had the chance to look at properly. The eufyMake Team

The epoxy plate got dents just after 3 prints, and on the 4th the nozzle took part of epoxy from plate when it was doing the initial levelling before the printing. I'm using AnkerMake M5c printer with AnkerMake nozzles.

We're sorry — a build plate showing dents after three prints, and then the nozzle removing part of the epoxy coating during initial levelling on the fourth, is not what should happen with a new machine using genuine AnkerMake nozzles. We'd suggest not printing on the plate in its current condition. Once the surface is damaged, first-layer adhesion becomes unpredictable and the nozzle is more likely to catch on it again, which risks further damage to both the plate and the nozzle itself. There are two things to look at here, and they may be connected. The dents and the nozzle making contact with the coating during levelling both point towards the first-layer height being set too low — which can come from the levelling calibration, the z-offset, or from the plate. Replacing the plate without checking that would simply leave you with the same problem on the next print, so we'd want to address both together. Please email us at [support email] with your printer's serial number, your order details, and clear photos of the dents and of the area where the coating has been lifted, referencing this review. We'll have the case reviewed by someone who can go through the levelling settings with you and arrange a replacement plate. We're sorry this happened so early on in the machine's life. Support is based in China so there's a 1-3 day waiting period for a response. (My first response took about 2 days.) Unfortunately, they asked for basic information like the printer serial number, my order number (already supplied), my mailing address, etc., which I don't feel was necessary at this point, but then they want videos and pictures (which I understand they need to help troubleshoot), but as I explained to them my particular issue I can't even get the printer to connect to my wifi or wired lan connection any longer. I explained all of the troubleshooting steps that I had taken leading up to a factory reset. Unfortunately, I foolishly threw away the print tests (trash day came before I got a response) and of course they're asking for those. :( Since I cannot connect to my printer, I cannot produce new examples. Once the network connectivity issue is resolved, then comes the primary reason I was reaching out to them... the print head seems to have failed despite multiple flash and medium cleans and even a deep clean. Maintenance parts were out of stock on their website for a while, so that delayed me being able to replace the scraper blade (which I've not used this printer enough to warrant a replacement, but... okay...). I had gotten myself into a situation where I have to go through a calibration cycle, well the registration marks won't print for the camera calibration, so I'm stuck there too. All in all, this experience has been nothing but a headache, and I wish I hadn't invested in this product. I was a kickstarter early backer faced with absurd shipping delays, followed by ink shortages, compounded by ink being sent out with very limited shelf life (less than 8 months) when purchasing several backups during the kickstarter launch (expecting them to be good for at least a year). Even now ink and maintenance products go on backorder from time to time. The printer was working fine and then all of a sudden when I swapped out the blank to do the next item, the colors were waaaaaay off. A "dark brown weathered leather surface" came out looking a really ugly yellow green color, and things just started going downhill from there. Granted... when it worked, it was nice and produced some really good quality prints. The design is visually pleasing, the parts and build quality seem solid, but Anker missed the mark on this from a production and supply chain standpoint. With so many people experiencing issues with their units, they need to increase their support staffing so that customers don't have to wait 2-3 days for a response, only to send another e-mail, and then wait another 2-3 days, and possibly go back and forth a few more times. I'm hoping the support team can address the issue via e-mail, but I'm concerned about having to continue doing factory resets and such as this wastes a considerable amount of ink (which isn't cheap, especially since you're locked into their proprietary system).

Thank you for setting this out in such detail — and for acknowledging what the machine does well even while listing everything that has gone wrong. That lets us respond to specifics rather than generalities. There's a clear deadlock in your case, and breaking it is the first thing we need to do: You can't provide what support has been asking for. Your printer no longer connects to wifi or wired LAN, so you can't generate new logs, test prints or examples — and the earlier test prints were disposed of before our reply reached you. Asking you for evidence you cannot produce isn't a reasonable request, and it's not how this should have been handled. We'll work with what you have: the photos you took earlier and the sequence you've already described. Please don't feel you need to reconstruct anything you've already thrown away. The network fault comes first. Until the printer connects, nothing downstream can be diagnosed properly — including the printhead and the calibration. We'd like someone to work through the connectivity fault with you directly in a single session, rather than a step per email. The calibration blockage. Registration marks that won't print for camera calibration are a separate issue from the network fault, and we don't want you repeating factory resets to chase it. Each one costs you ink, and you're right that this adds up fast. Your Kickstarter experience. Shipping delays, then ink shortages, then backup ink arriving with under eight months of shelf life when you'd reasonably expected a year — that's a poor return for someone who committed before the product existed. Ink sets and maintenance parts continuing to go on backorder isn't something we'll explain away. We're passing this back internally, and we'd like to look at what can be done specifically about the backup ink you bought at launch. On response times. You're right that 2-3 days per email, across several rounds, turns a fixable problem into weeks of downtime. Your point about support capacity is noted and has been passed on. Please email [email protected] with your serial number and order details, referencing this review. We'll assign your case to a senior member of the team who will pick it up from what you've already told us rather than asking you to start over. You backed this product early. You shouldn't have had to work this hard to get it running. The eufyMake Team

Ink sets not in stock ..ever. given a coupon code I cant use because the sets are always out of stock. cleaning cartridge doesnt last very long. Too many issues reported that should have been addressed before selling it to people.
Response from EufymakeOct 12, 2026
We're sorry. Being handed a coupon code and then finding the ink sets perpetually out of stock means you were given something you can't actually use — that's not something we want to leave as it is. Please email us at [email protected] with your order details and the coupon code, and we'll make sure it's honoured — either when stock returns, or by replacing it with something you can use now. On availability more generally: ink sets and maintenance parts going in and out of stock is a real problem, and we won't pretend otherwise. As the single source for these consumables, the responsibility for keeping them available sits entirely with us, and when we get forecasting wrong there's nowhere else for you to turn. On your wider concern — that the issues being reported should have been resolved before the product reached customers — we take that seriously, and it's being fed back internally alongside the other reviews raising it. We're sorry for the disruption this has caused. The eufyMake Team

The printer needs much more maintenance than you suggest in your advertising. the ink consumed for standard and extra maintenace belies the cost per piece you like to quote. you exaggerate that there is little cost, but you are misleading your customers. and your credits system is totally not understandable.n out in two days! and your customer service said i needed to wait until the month renewed. what is that? how can a body who needs this tool be deprived without even the chance to purchase more credits. by the way, the salesman at B and H photo and your ads never mention that one needs monthly credits to operate the device as advertised. i feel cheated.

I genuinely like the eufyMake E1. The concept and the possibilities of the printer are great. Unfortunately, the current ink cartridge system makes using it increasingly frustrating. Once a cartridge reaches its expiration date, it is software-locked even if there is still a significant amount of ink left inside. There is no option to continue using the cartridge at your own risk. As a result, usable ink that has already been paid for has to be thrown away and replaced with a new, relatively expensive cartridge. To me, this is neither sustainable nor customer-friendly. A much better solution would be to show a clear warning once a cartridge has expired and allow the user to acknowledge the risks and decide for themselves whether they want to continue using the remaining ink. At the very least, an active print job should be allowed to finish. One positive point is that customer support replies very quickly. However, the compensation offered was extremely disappointing. I was given five $10 compensation codes, but they cannot be combined. On top of that, individual orders are subject to a $5 shipping fee. This means that a $10 code effectively saves me only about $5. There is currently already a regular discount of around $5 on an ink cartridge. If I place one larger combined order and reach the minimum order value, shipping is also free. So in practice, the offered “compensation” gives me almost no additional benefit. To use all five codes, I would have to place multiple separate orders, spend additional money each time and potentially pay shipping again and again. To me, this does not feel like genuine compensation at all. Instead, it gives the impression that the codes are designed to encourage me to make additional purchases rather than truly compensate for the frustration caused by the cartridge system. I would genuinely like to continue enjoying and using the E1. But as long as this cartridge and expiration system remains unchanged, I can only recommend the printer with serious reservations. The situation has become frustrating enough that I am even considering selling my E1.
