Printer death by update
There is no way two printers of different ages would blow printheads at the exact same time right after an update unless it was a software issue. The chances of that are astronomical.

Awful customer service, a lot of smoke and mirrors with deception. I purchased Eufy Make E1 before launch and have regretted it ever since, I wanted to get a refund so they tricked me into not returning it by offering a free ink code that never worked and I had to spend over four weeks emailing to be given a new code for the ink to arrive and expire within 4 months and 8 days so, the Ink always expires conveniently just beyond their refund and exchange window or in the case of every single yellow cartridge I have received, they expires months before the others. You are best to avoid the E1 and go purchase the Xtool UV printer.

My experience with the eufyMake E1 and its support team has been frustrating, with the whole process dragging on for months. I followed their instructions and kept the printer powered on for automatic maintenance. Despite very limited use, it stopped printing properly. Support told me the printhead needed to be replaced. I used my Care service to get a replacement printhead, but they don’t offer a repair service, so I had to install it myself. I had never replaced a printhead before, and the process was not easy for me. When I asked what would happen if I accidentally damaged the printer during the replacement, I was told I would be responsible for the damage. That put me in a difficult position: carry out an unfamiliar repair myself and take on the risk if something went wrong. We’ve exchanged more than 30 emails throughout this process. While the printer was out of use, some of my ink was also approaching its expiration date. For a printer that cost about $2,000, I expected better reliability and more practical help when something went wrong. Receiving a replacement part through Care was only part of the solution—the difficulty and responsibility of installing it were left to me. I also filed a BBB complaint more than two weeks ago and have yet to receive a response from eufyMake/Anker there.

I run a small business that depends on my eufyMake E1 UV printer. I also paid $399.99 for eufyMake Care, which promises that once a replacement is approved, a new print head is sent immediately, without waiting to inspect the old one. My print head failed in late September. I opened a ticket the next day and the replacement was approved. Since then: - I have been told "2 to 3 days" on three separate phone calls. None of those dates were met. - Last Friday I was promised a supervisor would contact me that day. No one did. - Today I was told it would ship today with a tracking number and an email confirmation right away. Hours later, nothing. - I asked to speak with a supervisor and was told there is no way to reach one by phone or chat. A friend with the same print head failure, who did not buy eufyMake Care, got his replacement in three days. I paid for the premium plan and have waited almost two weeks. I reopened my shop after being promised a 2 to 3 day turnaround, took paid orders, and have had to refund customers. The front line reps have been polite, and I don't blame them. But the Care plan is sold on fast replacement, and that is not what I received. Ticket ANKER-TNS8890610510 if anyone at eufyMake wants to make this right. Edit1: Will provide updates as I go through this process

First we waited about a year to receive the machine, the ink cartridges were expiring , we replaced them, then the filter soon after that, the scraper replaced that now the ink is smudges and not curing. After researching I keep reading that the printhead maybe bad.$599.00 Hopefully it will be cover under warranty.

Thank you for sharing your experience, and we're sorry for the number of issues you've had to work through — the long wait for delivery, expired ink cartridges, a filter and a scraper replacement, and now the smudging and curing problems. That's a lot to deal with before a machine simply runs reliably. We'd like to help in two steps. First, a proper diagnosis — free of charge. Smudging and poor curing are not always caused by the printhead. They can often be traced to UV curing settings, a blocked or under-purged ink channel, or the condition of the ink itself, and several of these can be resolved without any parts cost at all. Our support team can walk you through the relevant test patterns step by step before anything is replaced. Second, on the printhead. Once the cause is confirmed, we'll review your purchase date and what coverage applies to your account — including any eufyMake Care plan — and set out clearly what is covered and what your options are, so you're not left guessing. Please email us at [email protected] with your printer's serial number, your order details and a short video of the smudging, and reference this review so we can prioritise your case. We're sorry it has taken this many steps to get here — let us make the next one a straightforward one. The eufyMake Team

We're very sorry — this is not the experience we want anyone to have with our product or our support team. A printhead failing after three months, and then being physically stuck, is a genuine problem on our side to help you solve. We'd like to make this right. A member of our senior support team will work with you directly, in real time if that's easier, to get the stuck printhead out safely — and we'll review your purchase date and coverage properly so you know exactly where you stand. Please email us at [email protected] with your serial number and order details, and reference this review. We'll treat your case as a priority. We're sorry we let you down. The eufyMake Team
