Wish I had read reviews before purchasing

Wish I had read reviews before purchasing their "free sample" (allegedly pay postage only) which was $12. This was apparently a free trial which would need to be cancelled within 14 days. Strange that I received no order confirmation emails from this company. I was unaware that they would start charging my card after that. Stranger that my bank put a stop to it for months (without me knowing) as they suspected it was a scam. Strangest that each time they charged my account they used a different company name and charged a different amount $12 - in March for "free shipping" $36 - in Sept - I don't know for what $120 - in Dec - with a new product sent When I received the product I had no recollection of ordering it- and so checked my emails - no emails could be found. So I emailed their contact us on the website and was later called and I was able to cancel. But not after having paid essentially $168 for 60ml of Argan oil. Since then after reading lots of reviews of this company online, I actually cancelled my bank card at great inconvenience to myself to avoid the risk of further charges to my account. Lesson learned - read reviews before purchasing. Side note: The product itself is actually very good, if extremely overpriced.
