Worst Buying Experience of My Life
This has been the worst experience purchasing an item I have ever had. It seemed smooth in the beginning. Delivery scheduled for May 2026. I request a status update only to find out that my tub was “not transferred into the final production allocation queue as intended.” Now I have to wait another four months with a promise from Empava to “closely monitor the entire process” and a “$500 cash-back compensation” for my troubles. I did not receive the “closely monitor” promise. I was the one to contact for status updates. One month before promised September delivery I email Empava and I get a status update of early to mid September delivery. Multiple confusing emails that lasted until late September. We finally receive delivery confirmation from the trucking company, not Empava. Finally receive tub on September 22nd. The delivery was even a nightmare. The trucking company destroys our driveway because he gets stuck and continually spins his tires. The trucker even walked the driveway to see if he could make the turns. He tells us no problem, yet gets stuck. Two hours later, he finally allows us to get him unstuck with our tractor. This tub was purchased on February 8th from the Empava online store. I would expect royal treatment when I spend $9K on a custom tub. This tub was coordinated to work into our home build. I now have to wait on install because of wall removal to get it in our new bathroom. When contacting the Empava “tub” phone line, nobody answers so you have to rely on email communication. Email communication is spotty at best with a lot of confusion. I now wait in hopes for the $500 cash back compensation for my troubles. I’m not holding my breath.
