Almost perfect, especially with respect to intent. However, there were some aspects of the support received that created unnecessary complications for us. First, the continuous requests for English feedback from doctors in an Italian hospital who had no desire or need to complicate their very busy life with additional work created an often unpleasant environment of apparent privilege. Fortunately, the requests subsided over time and the relationship with the hospital and rehab staffs turned out alright. It seemed like what was missing was a local intermediary who understood the language and the practices of the healthcare system. The second thing relates to the scheduled travel when we finally were accompanied home. Instead of following our advice based on experience traveling from Turin to the States, which could have been relaxed and much easier by staying overnight wherever the route required a layover in Europe, the planner chose to have us first sleep in Turin and then, after getting up at 3 AM to make the flight, face a trip with two layovers that got us home only after about 28 hours of travel. Thank God, the arrangements and the nurse were otherwise excellent.
