Ember & KateReviews of emberkate.com

This is a classic BAIT and SWITCH operation. Very bad QUALITY - The two items I ordered were described as cotton and linen but when I opened the package, their labels said polyester. The items were shipped from Vernon, California, but when I asked for a refund, they offered 15% (~$12) and said I could keep the items. For a full refund I needed to ship to Guangdong China, at my expense and provide photos and tracking info. They should be reported to the Better Business Bureau!

Both blouses I ordered were 100% polyester rayon and on the site one was listed as cotton poly blend and the other as linen. Return shipping would have been to Asia. The purchase is in dispute with my credit card company.

SCAM ALERT. I ordered a size 9.5 shoe. I got an email from the company saying the size 9.5 was out of stock and they only have the size 9. I told them I was disappointed and wanted a refund. Instead, they sent me an email saying they shipped the size 9 and I could return it. They attached a return form. I wrote back immediately and told them absolutely do not ship me a shoe that is the wrong size. I know a size 9 is not going to fit and I don't want to deal with the return. I asked that a manager or owner respond to me to confirm. This is most certainly illegal.

If I could rate a zero, I would. The cardigan looked attractive online, but I was very disappointed by its quality—it looks cheap and more like a bargain-store item. If I had known it was made and shipped from China, I would not have ordered it. I also regret not checking the ratings and customer reviews beforehand. Do not buy from this Company.

If I could give a zero I would. My fault, did not research this company first. Paid $50 for $5 polyester print top (at best). Disgusted by their false advertising, AI generated photos are misleading. Lesson learned!

I order a pair of shoes from Ember & Kate. When I received them, they weren’t even in a box; therefore they had a permanent crease on the top of the shoe and smelled like tires. I paid $68+ for these shoes that didn’t fit, poorly made and smelled like a tire. Mind you these are advertised as orthopedic shoes. I contacted the company to return for a refund. They offered me to order a different size but I would have to pay $8.95 for shipping. I replied that I wasn’t interested and wanted to return for a refund. They replied: The return conditions are: - Returns are at your own risk - Ship within 30 days in original packaging, without signs of use. - Return costs are at your own expense and can be relatively high, as our warehouse is located overseas. - Use a track-and-trace code. Without it, we can’t guarantee a refund - Include the completed return form in the package - A 100% refund will be issued once the return is received and tracking is provided. Alternatively, if you prefer to keep the item or gift it to someone else, we can offer a 15% partial refund. Buyer beware. You will receive expensive crap from this company and they don’t stand behind there products. You might as well kiss your hard worked money good by. Order at your own risk. Unscrupulous company ripping off Americans.

If I could give a zero star, I would. Cheap polyester clothing. Not what is pictured. I ordered a black and white jumpsuit and got a gray and white. It felt cheap. And the return process is absolutely horrible. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE FROM China and the returns are SOOOOOO expensive.

Ember Kate is a total scam. The blouse I ordered, Boho embroidered linen dragonfly blouse, looked absolutely NOTHING like what I received. The blouse received was a rayon fabric containing nothing even remotely resembling embroidery. When I emailed them multiple times about the discrepancy, it took them a week to respond. I finally contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. Returning the blouse is ridiculous because they want you to return it to China, with tracking, which would cost more than the blouse originally cost. NEVER AGAIN, Ember Kate.
