Finally a Bark Collar That Knows Which Dog Is Barking!
I first purchased an Elecane bark collar for one of my two dogs, Abbi, a chunky 17-pound Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix who absolutely loves to bark. Someone at the door, a person near our yard, a shadow moving across the room, or riding in the basket on my tricycle...Abbi always seems to find a reason to sound the alarm! The collar fit her perfectly after I trimmed the strap to size. Setup was quick and easy, and I've adjusted the settings several times as we've gone along. She's now using the highest setting because once Abbi gets excited, she tends to ignore everything else. Even so, the collar has has made a dramatic difference in reducing her barking. What really impressed me was how accurately the collar works. During the first few days, Abbi and my other dog, Roxie, a very vocal 10-pound Miniature Pinscher, were often lying side by side in our entryway or walking together. Many times Roxie would start barking, yet Abbi's collar never activated unless Abbi herself barked. I was amazed that it could distinguish between the two dogs so effectively. That experience convinced me to do what any dog lover who is tired of constant barking would do: I ordered a second Elecane collar for Roxie. Because she's much more sensitive, I keep her collar set on level 2, and she now rarely barks when she's wearing it. And...my girls line up to get their collars on every morning, so are in no way unhappy with them! I also have to give a huge shout-out to Elecane's customer support. When I registered Abbi's collar and uploaded a photo of her wearing it, I received a prompt personal email from Emily on their support team. She reviewed the photo, offered a tip on positioning the collar for best results, included a setup video, and even followed up to see how Abbi was doing. The collar itself is excellent, but customer service like that turns a good product into a great experience. I've been using these collars daily since late September, typically about 12 hours each day, and as of October 7, I still haven't needed to recharge either one since the initial charge. The battery life has been outstanding. These collars have exceeded my expectations in every way: effective, easy to use, long-lasting, and smart enough not to be triggered by another dog's barking. For our household, they have been absolutely fantastic!
