Elan Financial Services has a horrible 866 specialist phone number. I tried contacting them 8 times, and each time there was no response. Why give out a toll-free number to customers and never pick up the calls? Yes, I did call between 7 am and 9 pm CT.

Charges blocked. Pathetic system, useless customer service. Seems elan works hard to maintain the bottom feeder rating. First charge approved, second denied. The fraud dept is abysmal and cant handle providing clarifying responses to their actions. Having to admit their system is bad and may take over 2 weeks to update anything and then that can trigger fraud block. They dont tell you either, they force you to go through a gauntlet of people who are not good at their job. When you read them the reviews of elan and how terrible they are they become very brittle. They acknowledge the aggravation they inflicted but dont like being reminded of it. Was trying to consolidate all banking at Fidelity, wont be doing that. Will be explaining why to my Fidelity wealth mgmt gang on Monday. Card service that is unreliable, knows about it, could not care less sums them up. You would think they would be taking measures to improve things given the open litigation against them. One is specific to their poor handling and treatment of customers regarding fraud.

Don’t send emails out saying your payment has posted to your account that doesn’t reflect in available credit. I got a email saying my payment has been posted. I logged into my account and didn’t reflect on my available credit. I called only to be told its on hold for 7 days. I was taken out of my bank account fast i expect it to show on my available credit as well. I saved the email saying it posted for evidence of false advertisement.

There service is so bad, I decided to take my business elsewhere.

I have a couple of credit cards through Elon financial because I have some investments in Fidelity. Recently, I’ve been quite frustrated with them as I called because my credit card had been compromised, and it was also about to expire so when I spoke to the representative about issuing me a new card because they canceled the existing one. I asked that it not be issued with only 40 days left before it expires again. I was assured that they would not send a card that only had 40 days left on it. After a couple of days of waiting, I received the card which only had 40 days left on it. I called to request another card with a longer period before it expired and was speaking to a supervisor there. I asked the supervisor how I could apply for one more card so that I would have a back up if my card was compromised. The supervisor said I had to reach out to my financial advisor at Fidelity to facility that. I went ahead and reached out and my advisor called me and then called Elon financial so the three of us were on the phone. Eli financial then said that they cannot issue more than two cards per client. What a ridiculous waste of time for everyone when the supervisor could’ve told me that when I asked her the night before.

Absolutely horrific. This company is the worst Card company I ever have delt with. Zero help Zero Thought process. I have a 828 credit score and these people act like their doing me a favor. Run like all hell from them

I was scammed by an auto restoration business and filed a stop payment. After six months of sending Elan letters from third parties and numerous conversations I was never able to get them to understand the issue. They lost evidence I sent them one department didn’t forward documents I sent, they will not use email, just scanned it somewhere. I never talked to the same person twice. In my last conversation I asked them to send me something that explained exactly what documents they needed and they sent me the same form I had filled out two before. I’m am out $5,000 because according to them they do not have anyone that understands car repair. They are not customer friendly whatsoever.

I had a credit card wirh this company for years. Never again!! I would not recommend anybody getting a credit card from them on top of the fact that they're interested is much higher than other credit cards. I paid the credit card off always made way above my monthly minimum payment. When I called to get a full balance to pay off the credit card and close it I was given the amount paid it off. A month later I received another bill stating it was back accumulating credit to me that is straight up theft.
