It's locking me out even though I have my correct password, because an unrecognized IP. I travel a lot and can't possibly be using the same IP address every time I use this app. So this is a draconian security mechanism and I never enabled it and so it feels like a betrayal to me as a user who put his money into this stupid app. It all happened because I switched to a new phone and had to reset the old phone. I took diligent measures to save my password and backup code for this account to ensure I could regain access on the new phone. But being diligent doesn't matter if they're going to lock you out simply because they don't recognize your internet IP address. So this is the most stupid service for crypto that I have ever encountered. Supposedly crypto should represent freedom from traditional banking restrictions and this basically goes the other way around. They are pretending to be a bank and controlling my account and preventing me from accessing my own account because of their stupid, unrecognized IP mechanism. The lockout screen says that in order to regain my account I could try again in approximately six months from now. And this is the second time that I have to wait for a few months and try again. But apparently it will keep telling me to wait for a few more months before it gives me access. Perhaps it's because now I am in a different location than a few months ago. So my IP address is different. And so it again triggered the unrecognized IP lock. What a stupid, stupid, stupid, draconian system. I just reach out to their support via email and we'll see if they respond and I'll post that back here. My conclusion from this experience is that you cannot really trust this company because they can enforce whatever mechanisms you will never expect to lock you out of your own account and then you basically have no way to get back your funds. And just like banks, they basically would tell you that this is for security reasons. Based on my experience of being locked out for no good reason, I would say the real security risk is putting your crypto in this wallet.

Still waiting for a transaction processed with them a month ago.

They lie about not retaining a users IP address. Edge provided a full list by just asking of all ips that ever accessed the edge app account from sign up to account closing. Even after closing the person trying to log into that app the IP was logged.

Third-Party Payment Options are Integrated: Some advanced wallets offer "gas-free" solutions or "gas included" transactions where they convert a portion of your existing USDT to the native token behind the scenes to cover the fee. This process is handled internally by the app and does not involve entering credit card details. External Payment Requests are a Red Flag: An unexpected request for your credit card details to pay a "fee" for a crypto transaction is a significant red flag for a scam. Scammers use this tactic to get your financial information or extract more funds.

First, they claim they don't have access to 2FA and that the system operates without their involvement and can't be compromised. Then, without "influencing" 2FA keys, they add an arbitrary timer, which, as stated, is 7 days, which isn't true. The authorization timer, if you log in from a new device, can be 1-2 years. To reduce this period to 7 days, you need to provide support with information about when you registered your account, your email address, codes, and all the most complete account information possible, even if you registered it in 2014 when the service was Airbitz. Forget about this ancient garbage dump, export your seeds, and withdraw your money while you can. Because one "fine" day, which could come at any moment, you won't be able to access your account and will be waiting for two years for a fictitious timer to expire.

I am leaving this review after a very disappointing experience. For context, I had been adding small amounts into my XRP holdings over several years. When I attempted to cash out, I encountered a technical issue. I was not overly concerned at first, as occasional problems can occur. However, when I logged in about a week later, I discovered that my account had been completely drained. The timing of these events seemed highly suspicious. When I raised this with Edge, I was informed that it was the result of a “bad actor.” I am still unclear on what that means in practice, but the end result is that my funds are gone, with no possibility of recovery and no meaningful support offered. This raises serious concerns about the platform’s security and safeguards. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise others to avoid using Edge.

Scamscam scam

Went through most of reviews. The positive ones are probably written by Edge staff. They recommended scam projects to get potential passive income, I also see that FCA suggests to stay away from Edge. It is hard to verify it but according to some users on Reddit, Edge tries to remove negaitive comments by convincing Trustpilot that these comments were written by competitors or reviewers who were thinking probably about different company.
