I purchased the white and dark primer to test how they will affect the three tester colors we chose: Luminous, Moonstone, and French Blue. Although the primers are dramatically different shades, they did NOT affect the colors. That was a let down. As for the colors, they do not match the online shade guide but overall I love them and how they apply so smoothly when using 100% nylon brush!!! No streaks. No runs. NOOOO problems. One coat looks amazing!! As for fumes it's very minimal. Last thing- they dry ridiculously fast! I did follow the wait 4hrs guide but they were bone dry within one hour. My biggest disappointed was the $30 shipping for SAMPLES and they still forgot the free "brushes". Which are crappy black foam that I would never let touch this expensive paint. Funny how they say to use expensive brushes but yet they send cheap foam.

The no-VOC stain varnish is great. But I wish the product were available in a local store. (I live in Midtown Manhattan -- if we don't have something locally, nobody does.) Shipping from several states away is very expensive. There are lots of reasons to go no-VOC, but if "being green" is one of them, the carbon footprint of shipping a gallon of liquid hundreds of miles wipes out that "greenness."

I saw this bird friendly paint advertised so I gave one of my GOULDIAN finch cages two coats of eggshell white the outcome was fantastic it makes the birds colours stand out .

I applied ECOS Paint Varnish on old wood floors that even after sanding were looking old. Prior to putting on the varnish I used another product that absorbs into the wood to help protect it made by WeatherBos. I myself am chemical sensitive and like to use projects that don't pollute the air we breathe. I was able to apply the varnish easily. I didn't even have windows or doors open as I didn't want any dirt to blow into the final coats. I was very satisfied with the way the floors came out. It will be interesting to see how it lasts as it will be in a hair salon.

No VOCs made it a whole lot easier to apply safely without worrying about off gassing. Dried quickly so getting the two coats on in an afternoon was no problem. Will have to see how it holds up but do far the extra cost looks like it was worth it.
