I've had the opportunity to renovate 5 homes. The fifth one was done about a year ago. By this time I am more than familiar with paints, toxic ingredients in paints and the smell. Thus 2 years ago I decided to look for the least toxic paints on the market and I found ECOS Paints. RESULT: Fabulous products, wonderful people through emails, ordering and conversations on the phone. They truly believe their products and they stand behind them. The paint goes on well and the coverage very close to what they say. I am currently introducing their paints to friends.

We ordered this varnish to cover up some stain/polyurethane that we had used this summer. The smell from it was terrible! It has been lingering for a long time. Had I known about THIS product earlier I never would have used the other stain. I will be using this kind of product from now on. We used it over top of the other. So far we have only used one coat. It did reduce the smell greatly which I was pleased with, although not completely. Maybe if we put a second coat on it would. It does give the product a very slight milky appearance, although clear. I do think it is a good product, much better for our health.

This is a quality product. I love the approach of providing organic non-toxic paint and how that can improve the odor and health of the inside air quality. It also covers very well so it is not like sacrificing quality of paint for the health benefits. It is obviously pricier than conventional paint, but I think the benefits outweigh the additional price. My only complaint would be that it has to be shipped from a central facility. I understand wanting to control quantity, However, it caused delays in my project because I ran out and had to order more. On the other hand I could have been overly aggressive and been stuck with a bunch of extra paint I didn't need just so I didn't have to re-order.

The whole process of purchasing this paint went smooth. The color that we chose from their sample was exactly what we wanted. We have a 2-year old and finding a safe paint for our house was very important. We're happy with it, no smell when applying, dried quickly and looks great.

I haven't used the initial paint I purchased yet, but the whole time I was looking, I was able to email back and forth with no issues. I found the staff responsive and immediately giving sound advice.

Just to let you know that I just yesterday had my painter paint your ECOS paint on my porch and it is fabulous. The sheen and the color resonance is so superior to the Benjamin Moore I've been using and the Sherwood Williams I have used in the past. I wish I had tried your paints before I painted my new home interior. But I will use your paints in the future. thank you, Morgne

I ordered from this company after reading many reviews from other sites in regard to their products. I have an infant and two toddlers and I am doing my first big project which is repurposing our dining set. My only option was to paint around my children so needless to say I was in search of products that wet safe for them. After lots of research I purchased a primer and then an off white paint. I am still in the middle of my project but my table is fully painted and so is one chair. I must say I am very impressed with the products! I will be ordering a stain and a sealer to complete my project

Used the paint on wooden salad servers. Let it dry really well. Used them a few days later. Washed by hand. Seems very good! Thanx
