I choose ecos paint based off their reviews and no VOC stains. I placed my order and waited about 10 days before calling to check on my order. It was found that my order was in the declined folder even though the payment had processed. They were very apologetic and shipped the order that day. I was a bit shocked that they didn't offer any compensation. I wouldn't want the order for free but free shipping or something would be nice given this was their error. Everyone was nice and helpful and I will give them another try in the future.

I was disappointed in the stain and varnish. They were both odor free and washed up with soap and water easily. The cherry stain was too dark and too red. The varnish did not cover well and fogged up throughout the piece of furniture.

This comment is not about the paint itself but the color fan deck. For those who are chemically sensitive be aware that the fan deck has a very strong smell. It is outside off-gasing while I wish I could be picking color. The only way I can look at it is when I place it in a transparent bag which is kind of sad. I know that this is a paint company or not a printing company that is why I still ordered some paint to test out but it is somewhat ironic giving the apparent interest in good air quality and toxicity.

The paint quality, application and customer experience were excellent. 3 of the 4 colors were a near perfect match....the forth was off, much more orange than wanted and not usable.

Paint needed two coats on white (although it was a dark blue). Paint goes on pretty thick however. I was a little disappointed that the paint still had a paint smell. IT did go away within a few hours and didn't give me a headache that traditional paints do. Its one of the few brands that have no VOC's. I used to use Fresh Aire paints (sold at home depot but discontinued)and they were amazing with absolutely no SMELL! So I had high standards. I gave it 3 stars because its good paint its just not "no Smell". On one side note, they have a much better paint selection than fresh Aire did.

The product itself is great. Trying to open it however, was a disaster. The metal clips were difficult to pry off, flying in every direction, and the last one that popped off also must have released pressure in the can. It exploded and despite having drop cloths on the floor, half of it landed on my bedroom carpeting, ruining it. The varnish ultimately cost me about $500.

Ecos has wonderful paint, very easy to work with and rich in color. It's free of toxins yet delivers a great result. I was able to paint my baby's nursery while still pregnant as this paint has no toxic compounds. The paint and the company deserves nothing less than a 5-star rating, but unfortunately I couldn't give the highest rating due to the outrageously expensive shipping to Canada. Canada is a part of North America, yet they charged me 122$ to ship 2 gallons of paint. I paid less for the paint than the shipping itself. It's a shame the shipping is so incredibly expensive as I would have loved to purchase a whole lot more paint, but it's not affordable. This is a major draw back.

I haven't used the product yet but it will be applied to resurfaced ash flooring. I'm looking forward to trying this product out. My only complaint is the shipping, I paid for 3 day shipping but received the product 4 days. It costs a lot to ship this and it was frustrating to have the delay and pay for the expedited shipping. REPLY 8.12.15- I like your product, and have no complaints about it. I am upset with the shipping. I paid $131 to have 8 gallons of floor finish shipped in 3 days and it arrived on Thursday, a 4 day shipping duration. As a contractor, scheduling is critical and our floor team had already started their work. In addition, I paid for a sample that was shipped to the wrong address which I have not received.
