The guy came to my door and said your neighbors are using my company, I can offer you a better prices. He offered me $200 discount for the first treatment, I paid $150, after that, each treatment will be $130, the scheduled service by bimonthly, he said I have to leave the credit card on his file for the each service charges, they don’t accept other payment methods, and then he asked me for the signature, I thought it was for the credit card, but the signature was for the one year agreement contract that he didn’t say until I received the email, it was a fraud. And they came after 30 days from the first service, I tried to call to change the service date, he said it can’t be changed, because the schedules was signed on the contract, I have to pay 2 services fee for 35 days, and their services was not helpful, it still have bugs outside the front door and back yard after a couple days treatment. And I called request to cancel the contract, after a week, they sent me a email says there’s $200 balance that I owe need to be paid. I might to dispute the previous charged.

Bad Service; Sent Collections after me, too
Spotty service and then they retained a collection agency for $200 to harass me. I do NOT recommend ECO SHIELD for pest control because they are a dishonest company.

Please be wary of this company
Please be wary of this company. Caught me as I was walking out the door. Very slick. They make it seem like you are getting a deal, but, I had some financial set backs after I signed and they would offer me lower prices to continue for the year, but would not waive the cancellation fee. All they want is money. IF they can offer it cheaper, why don't they in the first place. They were not at the house long enough to do everything they stated, either. I would advise you shutting the door in their face. That is what they do to the consumer when they are having issues.

SCAM!!!
All the good reviews are from service technicians pressuring customers to leave reviews. Most are not legit!
Signed up for their service. The first service was done poorly then we had a pest problem about 2 weeks later and after 3 attempts they never showed up. Tried to cancel and had to pay a $240 cancellation fee. After taking wit management they promised to waive the fee but it was never waived even after 4 different hour long calls. They then send the debt to collections and act like there has never been conversations to waive the cancellation fee. Terrible company, avoid this scam and go with the several other honest and cheaper pest control companies.

Buyer beware!
Buyer beware! Never have I paid so much for so little! Shame on me for succumbing to the high pressure door to door sales pitch. In a weak moment, I decided to give the service a try having seen some box elder bugs seasonally on occasion. I tried the service for 3-4 months before ending the contract in disgust. (Having to sign a contract for that type of service should have been my first red flag) The first time the tech showed up, he sprayed a water sensor & set off the alarm. It was strange because the sensor had been picked up & should have been out of the way. No matter who showed up, they never spent more than 15 or 20 minutes treating our home inside & out. It also bothered me that every tech tried to find some reason to skip treating part of our home. I felt like I had to talk them in to simply spraying for the bugs that they had signed on to control. I was also told to expect seeing an increase in insect activity when they started spraying. I never saw any bugs! After a few treatments, it became obvious that I was either paying to treat a nonexistent problem or that the treatments were ineffective. I decided to cancel the service. Little did I know that my problems with Ecoshield had only begun. I called the local customer service number & was rerouted to a call center in the Philippines. After much waiting & transferring between departments they either could not or would not cancel the service & offered a discount to keep it going. I had verbally agreed to a 1 year service contract. To my surprise I discovered that I had unintentionally signed a two year agreement! I can only guess how that happened. I spent at least an hour on the phone trying to navigate this process & got nowhere so I decided to visit the local office in person to cancel the contract without penalty. Meanwhile, a tech showed up again to treat our home. My pregnant wife wasn't feeling well & she knew that I was trying to cancel the service so she didn't open the door for the guy. Instead of leaving & trying to reschedule, he spent 2-3 minutes spreading dust on the front of the house in the rain & left. We got invoiced for the full service which should have been inside the house, front & back yards! The local office is nondescript, barely marked & locked from the public. When I visited, one of the office workers opened the door & seemed sympathetic to my plight. She took my info & said she would try to waive the cancellation fee & get back in touch. She didn't. I returned a few days later & asked again. A couple of days later I got a text saying that it would cost me $200 to cancel the contract. By that time I had also received an invoice for $82.50 for the "discounted" service call that I neither wanted nor did the tech properly complete. I couldn't get through to the local office via phone in order to contest the invoice so I was forced to navigate the Philippine call center once again. After another hour or so of transfers & long holds I was only able to negotiate my $282.50 bill down to $232.50. So, it cost me $82.50 for the last tech to show up & $150.00 to cancel the contract. Perhaps Ecoshield is a pest control service, I'm not so sure. However make no mistake, they are absolutely in the business of coercing people into signing predatory, over priced contracts & enforcing them. A quick visit to the BBB website would seem to confirm this. I would encourage anyone that needs pest control to do their homework & get competitive bids before signing any agreement or contract.

IF I could give no stars I would
IF I could give no stars I would. They came into my yard in July 21, selling services. We had recently moved in and the yard was full of ants. We talked about that, there was a fence in the back yard, and we were told they would never be beyond that. We thought they were treating the yard. We never had them in the house. They sprayed the patios, and brick at bottom of house. We did not realize this was what they were doing until it was to late to cancel.
They had me sign a copy in July, they said I had to have the next treatment within 45 days. They came back in August and said I needed to sign for treatment. I did, they then used that visit to say that my first treatment was August, and not July.
Not only was my husband and I upset about not getting ants in yard treated, they never did the yard like we were under the impression of. That first day, a second guy was walking in the yard, we thought he treated it while the other guy talked to us.
Then it made matters worse when we informed them that we were not happy, and we had to pay out the entire 24 month contract, which the guy told us that they let you out of contracts you just had to pay a months service fee. Nope, and then July came, and we thought we are at the end of the 24 months, they said no. I went onto their website showed them the picture the guy took of the wet bricks just sprayed and in their own system dated July 18. I emailed to headquarters, and a location in Texas, by priority mail, delivery confirmed. They called and left a message, they sent a letter stating I could pay $89 and be done. I had a family member go in the hospital, and life was hectic. I just got a letter now they say I owe over $160 and I phoned. Finally a lady there admitted she saw the first treatment in July. She transfered me and the guy said I had transfered 4x appointments, which I know I delayed 2, one was by just a couple of weeks, maybe 3 weeks, I would have to go check for sure. My bill states 24 months contract. He is saying I have to complete 13 services within that 24 months. I am beyond angry. I am contacting an attorney. At this point it is not about the money it is principle. What company with any integrity would do this. Now, I am going to share my experience anywhere I can review, I am posting in our community online group. People need to be fully aware and protected.

After years of being a customer
After years of being a customer, when flying ants are attacking my home at night through the window screens in swarms. I contacted the local office (Los Angeles) and HQ. I was informed Ecoshield does not help with "Flying insects"; yet their phone line ads promote mosquito control. Last time I checked, mosquitos are flying insects.
