To describe this company would take too many 4-letter words, but there is a great 5-letter word that fits perfectly...GREED. Ineffective results, overblown pricing, and refusal to cancel future service without paying a substantial fee. STAY AWAY...FAR AWAY..FROM THEM

Service OK BUT cost kept increasing ever visit
Service OK BUT, cost isn't what they tell you. Once they get your credit card, the charges are always greater than told. For example, initial service about $200 actual $331 after $150 early termination addition to contract which has someone's signature but not mine. The contract was for one year....changed by them to two years. First year cost about $600 actual over $1,000. Last quarterly bill was for $197, according to "Ring" the service tech was in the house 5 minutes. Nothing was sprayed outside according to cameras. Cancelled contract and was charged $150 plus tax or $160.50. Local guy came out, uses same chemical,,,,$400.00/year, no contract and he sprays second floor windows and doors. In my opinion, Eco Shield or Eco Pest Control is a Scam.

Terrible company
Terrible company! The technician dripped pesticide all over the inside of house. Giant drips that did not dry and I have two small dogs. I had to wash all the floors. I've attempted many times to cancel, but they keep showing up and doing the outside and then billing me. Forget about calling...they put you on hold and never pick up! DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH ECO SHIELD!!

Avoid this company
Avoid this company! I had one service done on 9/2 and that’s all I agreed to when their rep knocked on my door to set up this service. Before having the service done, I had called their rep to confirm that that was all I was signing up for, and I received confirmation of that. I saw he emailed me a contract with my forged signature for a quarterly agreement that I did not sign or approve of. This is disturbing and illegal. After the 9/2 service, I paid my bill. I then received a text on 10/13 that Eco Shield was coming back the next day for an additional service, even though we didn’t ask for that service. I called to cancel that as well and never received other services. Ecoshield is now saying I have another bill for cancelling this contract I never signed. I've emailed this company twice with no response and called three times without anyone resolving this issue. Over the phone, they mentioned the contract, which I never signed, therefore is invalid. This bill should be terminated and I hope to save others this headache with this review. I should have read other reviews before getting involved with this company that knocked on my door as it sounds like others are having this same problem. Shame on Ecoshield for forging signatures for ongoing contracts and for not being transparent with their services. Now they've sent my bill to claims, so that's another headache for me to deal with.

Ecoshield is classic bait and switch…
Ecoshield is classic bait and switch sales tactic, full of junk fees and shady customer service reps. The young sales guy who came to my door saying he was treating my neighbors house for carpenter ants sold me on what he presented as 4 visits (once a quarter) for $179 but everytime they show up its $179. That's Almost $800/year on BS. $60 a month and all they really do is "dust for cobwebs" and spray some dust in my window cracks, which does not work. At my residence for all of 10 min. each visit. Used them almost one year a NO results. DON'T BE SCAMMED.
I recently sold my house and when I tried to cancel the account they sent me all these fees for having to exit the contract early. Then they told me the contract never said it covered carpenter ants.
To top it all off, after all the visits they still couldn't fix the problem. I returned from working on the road to see we still had the same ant problem. I moved some firewood away from the house and guess what, they all disappeared. Didn't need Ecoshield for that nor did their "experts" see it or mention it once.

Stay away from Ecoshield
Ecoshield is a scam. When they sold me a two-year contract they said I cancel at any time without penalty--but that since I was getting a $200 discount I would have to pay that back if I didn't pay for the first four sprayings. I have now paid for four sprayings, but when I tried to cancel my account today Ecoshield said they would bill me $200 for the discount, even after I explained what their salesman had told me. They said if I didn't pay the $200 within 90 days they would turn the matter over to a collection agency. Their service did no good as far as I could tell, they did not stand behind their salesman's promise and now they're threatening to have a collection agency pester me for the $200. Stick with a local company that provides good service, not this Las Vegas-based bunch of crooks.

Scammed into Paying $150
EcoShield (door salesman) offered a 2 cycle service. As he put it, I thought I would help a local business.
Once the 2 cycles were complete I received notice of a 3rd appointment at which point I canceled. They then billed me an additional $150 because of the cancelation indicating that I broke a contract. They then referenced a contract that does not contain my signature.
In an attempt to make it right they offered me a discounted rate to continue the service as a means to avoid the charge. I agreed however, they called me back indicating that their management team no longer agreed.
At this stage they have threatened to send me to collections. In retrospect this is my fault for not insisting on a contract up front and not thoroughly reviewing the web of emails/documentation sent to me.
