ABSOLUTE SCAM
DO NOT FALL FOR THE “HARD SELL” - this has become my immediate go-to sign to run the other way when presented in such a manner . “Your fellow neighbors have signed up with us” - did I ask ‘who??” No! This bought me a solid year + of endless wasted hours on the line with them, begging, pleading to cancel. The service itself- pointless - in a matter of moments, a person turns up and flits about your exterior…all to no avail.

Scammers! Stay away from this company!
The company representative I signed up the initial contract with was a great sales man, who said he can give me a 50% discount if I sign up today. He showed me all bugs on the walls outside and assured me the initial service will be done in few days and the technician will come to my place and do inside and outside treatment, removes all wall bugs and etc. Nobody showed up on the agreed day and time. I called the person who I signed up with he said the service was done. I explained that it was not because bugs are still on the walls and I was home and nobody was here. He set up another appointment and assured they will come back and do everything inside and outside again. The 210$ charge was posted on my account same day. And they actually did arrive on the 2nd appointment, but no service was done except of putting the rats box outside on backyard. At least something 😅
I decided to cancel because company is not professional. I called the customer service, spent 30 minutes on the phone, the lady was nice by the way, offered me several options because wanted me to stay with the company. I said no, let’s cancel, thank you and there we got a miracle. 150$ cancelation fee , which nobody told me about. Also, she said I signed up for 24 months contract , which I was surprised to hear about, because I moved into rental property with 12 month lease . And probably I was out of my mind signing 24 month service contract and having 12 month lease agreement on rental. 😅 but of course nobody told me about contract term same as about cancellation fees. So at this point I had to trust to EcoShield , cancelled the contract, paid the fees, and posting 1 stars everywhere I could.
As a result, I got no promised service, paid 210$ for initial service and 150$ cancelation fee, total 360$ and all I got waisted time , and the box for rats on my backyard which I assume they will take back.

What a complete scam of a company
What a complete scam of a company. NEVER EVER DO BUSINESS WITH. Long story short, their door-to-door sales, aggressive solicitation model found its way to my street and against my better judgment I signed up when the door-to-door person told me that there would be absolutely no cancellation fee if I tried the service. I brought up the $150 discount thing and he said no no will waive that if you sign up today. After about a year, I decided that the service wasn’t worth the money and went to go cancel and they came back and said you owe us $150. I tried calling never got a call back from a manager finally I called in for the fourth time and asked to speak to a manager directly and they refused saying you’re going to owe us the money and if not, it’s going to a collection agency. Absolutely horrific. There are law suits against them for there illegal solicitation model / contracts in Michigan among other states. I filed the complaint with the Better Business Bureau and I plan on sharing my experience is wide ranging as I possibly can.

Terrible loyalty to customer
We were clients for a few years. We had construction going on our home so we were forced to postpone two monthly visits. Therefore, without any explanation, Sam from Nashville Ecoshield arbitrarily froze our account. Sam left me a voicemail after not showing up for the last scheduled visit, and then never called me back after I returned his call. I only found out our services were cancelled because I called the main number and waited for 30 minutes to get an answer. Once I finally spoke to Sam he pretty much had a “oh well, that’s our policy” attitude. Totally unacceptable and extremely frustrating. Do not recommend.

Is there a zero star option?
The door to door guy for this company seems to be looking for an argument everywhere he goes. One neighbor across the street caught attitude from him. And I have two BIG CLEAR signs Do Not Knock and No Soliciting. This guy knocks, and when I point to the signs he says he "can't read them" and when I challenged that he said that he was dyslexic. Well, now the guys is just being provocative. So I asked for the name of a supervisor and he said it's just his business (obviously not, since he has the logo for this company on his shirt). Then he asked me for a bottle of water. Just read the signs and don't bother me. And if you do, don't lie to me and just try to be provocative, wasting my time. How does passive aggressive hostility increase the brand value?

Completely Unprofessional, Inappropriate and Dishonest Sales Pitch
Some young guy knocked on my door close to 8pm. First red flag! I don't typically answer the door when salesmen knock, but I was in a friendly mood and he had a friendly face so I went outside to speak to him. Wrong decision. He gave me the hard sell, telling me my neighbors have signed up and how he was going to give me a discount. Red Flag #2. I could tell he was lying because my intuition is strong but I let him continue trying to close the deal. He talked badly about my current exterminating company that has actually been outstanding in their service. Red Flag #3. The guy was telling me how my company eliminates pests (like he really knows) and how his company Eco Shield would do a more comprehensive job. When I told him I was very satisfied with the company's work and how they did a complete exclusion in the attic and crawl space, he looked at a wall and told me, "You have bugs. I can see them." I told him of course you see bugs, we're outside. I don't have a pest issue indoors and that's what matters to us." He then said, "You definitely have bugs inside. You just don't see them now, but you will when the rains get heavy in August because they go underground to escape the rain and then work their way into your house." Red flag # 3. He's not listening to me! I told him I needed to speak to my spouse before making any decision, trying to make a polite exit. I asked him for a card and he didn't have one. Red Flag # 4. He whipped out some laminated card with images of pests and the costs to eliminate them. He guessed incorrectly the square footage of the house instead of asking me what it was. Red Flag #5. He had the nerve to ask me when my spouse was getting home and that he'd come back to speak to him when he was back. Red Flag #6. Really!? After 9 or 10pm? He then asked me what I did for a living and then asked what my spouse did for a living. Red Flag #7. It is none of your business what we do for a living! Please stop trying to be insincerely friendly. It was so obvious he just wanted to make his quota for the evening. The energy of desperation and unctuousness was getting annoying and I was feeling insulted now. Then he told me I was going to miss out on the discount if I didn't sign up by Monday. Red Flag #8. These pressure tactics don't work on everyone. Please respect the fact that many of your prospective customers are discerning and intelligent people. I told him we don't make decisions impulsively and we'd look up the company online. He asked me if I remembered his name, which I didn't. Being polite, I asked him what it was and he refused to tell me. Red Flag #9. What an immature and unprofessional response. I turned to go back inside and he walked away. There were many more Red Flags. Oh! One more. There was no Eco-Shield truck in sight. It was like he just came out of nowhere. I don't trust any company that doesn't give its employees officially labelled trucks or cars to do canvasing. What a waste of my precious energy and his. Though, not completely wasted. We will never again answer the door when an unsolicited salesman knocks. Try increasing the quality of your services, the professionalism and knowledge of your employees and get some honest 5 star reviews and have your customers come to you. Stay away from Eco-Shield Folks.

Stay away from this company
Stay away from this company! It's a scam!... they sign you up for way to much, then when you cancel, they offer same service for half price, charge you the sign up fee then try to get another $200 separately for another cancellation fee. This company is a total rip off... wish I had known!
