Dishonest Company and Terrible Service If I could give this company a negative rating, I would do it without hesitation. They showed up at my house at an inconvenient time, right as I was leaving, to offer their services. They promised it would be a one-time payment service, but now they are charging me a $195 monthly fee. When I called to complain, they informed me that I had supposedly signed a two-year contract, and that if I wanted to cancel, I would have to pay an additional $180. Furthermore, the service was absolutely terrible and they didn’t even complete it. I feel like I have been scammed by a company that clearly has no scruples and takes advantage of consumers. I want to warn everyone to be careful with this company. Don’t be fooled by their false promises. What seems like a one-time, tempting offer could turn into an expensive headache.

Logan from ECO SHIELD came to my door selling the company service contract for pest control services. I explained to him that I am a renter and that I wasn't sure my landlord would allow me to use their service rather than one the homeowner chose. Logan told me that I could sign up that day taking advantage of their 'special' and cancel any time if my landlord didn't want to use their service. I received my first treatment and didn't see an improvement, but the technician explained that in order to see improvement (we had wasps), we would have to have at least two treatments to break the 'egg cycle'. We didn't schedule our second treatment, but a technician just showed up at my house one afternoon and proceeded to treat my yard. I explained to him that my landlord did not want to use their company because they have their own pest control company and told me I'd have to call the office to cancel the contract. THAT'S where the fun began!! I spoke with Frank, one of the company Customer Care Specialists, and explained that I needed to cancel my contract because my homeowner did not want to use their company for pest control. He gave me the run around for almost an hour and finally agreed to cancel my contract, but I would have to pay for that day's service (that I didn't authorize) in the amount of $208.09 and a cancellation fee of $211.00, and promptly emailed me a bill. I explained to him that Logan, my original salesperson told me that I could cancel AT ANY TIME without penalty, and Frank went on to tell me that I had signed a two-year contract, and the best he could do is postpone my services, so I wouldn't be charged (which made no sense). Since that day, I receive multiple daily phone calls and almost daily texts and emails reminding me that I have a balance due! Their sales tactics are predatory, and their salespeople aren't honest. Beware!

I am extremely disappointed with the service provided by EcoShield. Not only did they fail to adequately address our issues with slugs and wasps, but their customer service was also lacking. They refused to communicate effectively (the Seattle group actually told the call center person they won't talk to us), leaving us with unresolved issues and no support. Furthermore, they expected us to be available for an entire eight-hour window, which is unreasonable and disrespectful of our time. To make matters worse, they are now attempting to charge me $218 for canceling their underwhelming service. I strongly advise against using EcoShield based on this frustrating experience.

Came to my door and tried to sell me from a phone screen. I asked for paperwork and he showed me his little phone. I couldn’t read it from that but he got my email to send it to me, then my name, then wanted my phone number. He said they were going to be in the area tomorrow but the slots close so he could reserve one for me while I considered it and talked to my spouse, so he had me sign his phone for that. When I got in the house to read the email, it was a year contract that my signature went on in a few places, and all the bugs we talked about that I wanted to control were not in the written service agreement. What a scam. I signed the cancellation right away and sent it. Shady! Beware!

Sold all sorts of promises on their treatments but when treatment actually occurred, the technician was here not even 5 minutes and did not spray beyond perimeter of the house which did absolutely nothing. They did not respond to my attempts to call for a "touch-up" until I called them to cancel their subscription service that they require, at which case they sent another technician to do the exact same thing with equivalent results. They made it impossible to cancel requiring calling and escalating through 3 different agents trying to sell me more and offering discounts to prevent me from cancelling. I have met with pyramid schemes with more morality than this company.

On August 9th, waited all day for the Eco Shield Pest Control person to inspect the work, we had an appointment but no one showed nor did they call to update us. Look for a better option and better company.

This company seems to come to the house and do the job but there are issues. A salesperson comes to the door with a pitch saying that the prices don't apply because of the special deal. I stupidly signed an agreement on his phone. He stated that I could read through the contract but it would take quite awhile. Again, I stupidly signed up for a quarterly treatment. The first treatment was done and another was scheduled without my approval 30 days later. After that, the quarterly treatments begin. The buyout if you cancel is supposedly $400. I suspect it is much more. This is a scam. Don't fall for it.

I should have known better than to sign on with a company that does door-to-door sales. I liked the idea of pest control using natural ingredients. Signed a one year contract. Service and pest control was okay at best. Called to cancel contract once fulfilled. Obviously, their customer service is in an Asian country. Called and canceled service after contract date. Received emails and texts asking me to renew, to which I answered “No”. Then received a text and automated phone message stating that my regular service would take place the following day. One hour to get to a customer service representative who put me on hold for another 30 minutes. The next representative kept trying to sell me more service while saying she wasn’t. Finally after almost two hours my service was canceled. Horrible company-it’s like being in a time share!
