They require an annual contract that will automatically renew unless you speak with a representative on the phone. You will not be able to reach that representative - ever. If you try to select another person at Ecoshield to get around the problem, they will not be able to help you cancel the next contract. You will have to cancel your credit card

If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. The door to door sales tactics are repulsive. They never mentioned to my wife that this would be a "2 year contract". When I lost my job, I called in January 2025 to cancel. I spent over 45 minutes on the phone getting jerked around trying to cancel. They "settled" on allowing me to cancel with one more service for another $129 in April. Come April, they texted my wife saying they were trying to get in touch with her about my call in January. I just called again (for another 10 minutes) to cancel - they said after my service next week I will need to contact them again to cancel. What a joke of a company! DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS!

Not only do they not tell you it's a 24 month contract for the "discount rate" that you can pay back if you cancel, but they give you a one time $25 discount when you call to cancel in an attempt to keep you. I had a quarterly service and needed a follow up appointment that would take a week. I could go to Home Depot the same day without the hassle. Avoid this scam. I'm stuck with them for another year and will leave this same bad review after each service.

Horrible Service – No Accountability, No Integrity I hired this company for a rodent exclusion service in Jan 2024 and was assured all entry points were sealed. Less than a year later, rodents were back—and during the new inspection in March 2025, they found an entry point the original inspector missed. When I asked for it to be covered under warranty, they flatly refused, despite it clearly being their oversight. After I challenged their response, they completely ghosted me—no calls, no proposal, no communication. I followed up multiple times, only to be ignored. And instead of resolving the issue or even having a professional conversation, they abruptly messaged me saying they were closing my account because I was being “condescending.” Really? That’s how they handle legitimate complaints? This company refuses to take responsibility for their mistakes and treats loyal customers with shocking disregard. I’ve had to chase them down just to be heard—and in the end, they just blame the customer and walk away. If you want a company that values accountability, professionalism, and basic customer service, look elsewhere. These people just take your money, do a sloppy job, and vanish when things go wrong. Avoid at all costs.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! They are scammers!!!! Said we were infested with mice, gave me a cost of $15,000. Second opinion….. found no mice whatsoever. Contacted the BBB

A Ecoshield Pest Control truck side swiped me in Washington state and left the scene. I filed a report with the local police and when I called customer service they assured me they would have a supervisor contact me. That never happened and I have a scratch on my car. I would never do business with a company that wouldn’t handle a matter like this.

They hide the fact that you’re signing up for a blood contract for a years worth of services. You can’t cancel even if you try. Very sneaky and deceptive. Run from these guys, it’s a total racket.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. It even hurts to give it one star!! My husband signed us up for a 2 year contact after someone came to our door selling their services and telling us how great they were. My husband told him that we had a big hornet’s nest in our eaves and showed him where it was, and asked if he would take care of it. The guy said no problem, they’ll get it when they come on their first visit. After 6 months I noticed that we were having a spider and hornet problem and I told my husband that we needed to get someone to come out and take care of them. He said that we should have been having someone come for the last 6 months and that he signed us up for Ecoshield, who said that they would take the hornets nest down 6 months ago. I told him that I had never seen a soul in our yard and that the nest was still up there. He said we had been getting charges from them so I called Ecoshield and told them what horrible service they have and told them to cancel our contract. But guess what? Even though they don’t live up to their end of the contract, they make you keep yours. No matter what! They said we could pay them the balance we owed them for the 2 year contract but if not we couldn’t do anything about it. I complained and even asked to talk to managers, etc. but they wouldn’t budge. They even said that they would send it to a collections agency if we didn’t keep paying them. They DID however say that they would send someone out to take care of the hornets nest and spray for spiders, which was REALLY big of them. When the guy came, he spent exactly 5 minutes on my property and then drove away. I went outside to see what he had done, and only half of the hornets nest was gone, and he didn’t touch anything else (I check our security cameras). Nothing was done for the spider problem, so I called AGAIN and complained and even sent them the footage from the cameras. They had to send someone out again to take care of the spiders and get the rest of the hornets nest down AS I WATCHED THE WHOLE TIME TO SUPERVISE AND MAKE SURE THEY ACTUALLY DID SOMETHING THIS TIME. Wow, if a company can’t do what they say they’re going to do, then why am I paying them good money? To summarize a very long story……don’t listen to the sweet talkers as they come to your door to sell you a contract to take care of your pest problem. Because you will lose A LOT of money, but gain a lot of bugs in the process. Take your business elsewhere!
