Eco Shield Pest ControlReviews of ecoshieldpest.com

So a tech stopped by to offer their services because he said my neighbor just signed up with them. I said I don't want a 12 months contract just wanted a one time treatment. He offered a one time treatment and said that 2 would really be better and he can offer a discount on two, so i said OK, please send me the info by text message. Within an hour i received an email (i did not provide an email address !) with a signed contract, which had someone else's signature in the "customer sign here" line with a 12 month contract. Two days later a text came in "we will be at your property this afternoon". this is pure FRAUD! Do not open your door and do not discuss anything with this fraudulent business!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! BEWARE, THEY ARE SCOUNDRELS!!! I lost $650 to Eco Shield over the last two months due to their ineffective product and fraudulent sales practices! First, a young salesperson appears uninvited on my front porch in early May 2025, selling their service. He told me how they could eliminate 100% of the spiders, earwicks, and nasty bugs on my property and how their product is 100% environmentally safe. He was quite polished and convincing, so I unfortunately agreed to a 1 year "contract" of 5 treatments (at $200 a treatment). HUGE MISTAKE!!! I asked him if I could cancel at any time at no charge? He said, "Absolutely", which was a big lie because I found out later that if you choose to cancel after 3 days, they charge you a $250 "early cancellation fee"! You need a magnifying glass to see where this is stated in the contract. I "finger signed" the contract on his "electronic notebook" in the full sun and could not read fully what was listed in fine print. After two treatments, my spider and earwick problem got worst and I decided to cut my losses and get out of the contract. So... I called the number listed on the website to complain and cancel. After waiting 40 minutes on hold I get an imbecile who I can barely understand. This idiot is so inept that every reply he gives is read off a card for him to regurgitate up to the customer essentially saying: "We've got you locked in for 1 year at $1000 and we'll screw you over for $250 early cancellation" if you try to get out!!! I hung up on him after saying "I WANT TO CANCEL!!!" These guys are scoundrels! They are deceptive in their sales pitch!!! Their product didn't work for me! They screw you if you try to get out of the contract!!!! PLEASE....DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE! Warn your friends! Warn your kids! If they show up on your door...run them off!!!

Wish I could give this company a ZERO! Absolutely a lack of keeping their promises (e.g., making the scheduled appointments), horrible job of advising customers of cancelled or rescheduled appointments, and Customer "Care" (I use that term loosely) that doesn't perform follow-up/listen to customer requests/etc. The company appears to have gotten worse over the past year or so - to the point that I have been highly displeased with their performance (I have cameras around my house and the Technicians move very swiftly when doing service), I have had recurring bug issues, and - as ranted above - taking care of the customer seems to have disappeared. There is little to no value in having their "service" - I would rather go with a higher priced option than suffer with incompetence!

Didn't sign up but the sales rep was very aggressive and wouldn't take no for a answer...until I basically got aggressive and rude right back. So glad I didn't sign up. Looks and sounds like a scam

I don't feel this company is totally a bad service. What is not good is the communication to customer. We had driving rain yesterday and I requested service to be cancelled and wait for better weather conditions. I never heard back showed up early even and the poor service man could hardly see in the rain. Tried to hit trouble spots (wasp nest) I had but see today not all gone. As well they need to come back to finish granuals part of service. I was planning on cancelling for this coming year and when I called to get out of contract was told I had to wait until job was completed. I told them due to a very sick husband with cancer treatments while back I would be cancelling after last service call and I am just being strung along. They said I could after this last visit but they would not come to finish job so I must wait or it will automatically renew for coming year an expence I do not need at this time. Now I have to be here and schedule time for job to be finished. Because of such poor customer relations I would not recommend this company .

After reading all of the reviews, I am assured that I am not crazy. Although I will say, services were good up until about a year ago. My issues started in March when a technican came to the property and literally started throwing chemical from a cup. I happen to capture this on my cameras since I was at work but once I got home there was more chemical on my walkway and sidewalks then there was near the home. I called to complain and then cancelled my service. I refused to pay for work not completed. Now come the phone calls and demand for payment. I have talked with the manger and have sent a video of the work not performed correctly. Has anyone else experience this poor work performance. I will take this one to the courts. This experience has been horrible and totally avoidable. Train your technicians

I don't know how this company is in business still. I've heard they lost their license where I live in Utah. They are everything stated in all these negative reviews. They switch and bait prices. They are rude, customer service is terrible. I never seen them actually do anything to my home a kid came by and ran around and wiped cobwebs off my house then that was it. Still had bugs so I just did it myself. Then they call me telling me when my next service will be, didn't ask me told me. Then never showed up. So I called told them I'm done with their service but they have a sneaky contact that will screw you. But I paid them nothing! After I contacted them. They sent me to collections who called me and I told them I will never ever pay them anything. The company failed to provide service and was hostile. Never heard back from collections

They are very pushy, deceptive, and intrusive in their questions. The police will be called next time they aggressively demanded to enter our house. I asked for a business card and got a flyer promising great discounted. He kept pushing! I then began a review of the reviews. Worst ratings I have seen in my life. They are essentially criminals. 86% give them * Police will be called if they return.
