I am showing a picture of the advertised elm bonsai I bought for $130, versus what was sent. The tree i got had almost no leaves, and they claimed that the leaves dropped during shipping, but there were no leaves in the packaging. The tree is unstable and wobbles, I sent a video of this, but they conveniently cannot open .mov videos. I asked for a partial refund, and it was denied. My only recourse was to return the tree at my cost, and then receive a refund that does not include their S/H fee. Avoid this company at all costs, they do not care about customer satisfaction, and are full of excuses.

Do not do business with Eastern Leaf. The tree arrived with a trunk that was rotted almost all the way through. Customer service was rude and tried to gas light me into believing this was an attractive feature. This isn’t “dead wood” created by the bonsai artist. This is literal damage from a large branch breaking off and the tree not being cared for. I also ordered stones from them. They shipped stones that were two sizes larger than the ones I ordered and then customer service told me multiple times that those were the ones I ordered. Finally I got someone on the phone and she tried making an excuse that her vendor only shipped her that size. Guess what? That’s not the customers problem. You don’t get to ship the customer the wrong item just because your vendor doesn’t have the right item in stock. She did refund me for those but that was the third conversation I had to have to get them to refund without me having to pay to ship them back. They wouldn’t budge on the damaged tree besides me having to pay to ship it back. You shouldn’t be sending your customers damaged good and incorrect items and then fighting with them to force them to pay to send them back. Awful experience. Avoid this company and their rude customer service at all costs.

Absolutely would not recommend Eastern Leaf. They were happy to take my money, but when there was a legitimate issue with the product, accountability disappeared. Buy your bonsai somewhere else.

Horrible experience. My tree was not delivered and they took the side of UPS instead of mine . Now I lost $70.00 and no tree.

I ordered a bonsai for a gift and not certain how it arrived and the condition but for the next several months Eastern Leaf continued to charge my credit card using different names for the company. I was able to get my credit card company to reverse the charges but am not certain if the cc company every got their money back. Never order from this company as they hav a corrupt business plan.

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS COMPANY. I ordered a bonsai that arrived completely brown/dead. Eastern Leaf’s response? Oh, the fine print on the website says no guarantee on certain curated plants. In other words, unload our dead bonsai on him.

I purchased a bonsai tree as a Christmas gift from Eastern Leaf. The tree arrived completely dead because they shipped it over five days during winter conditions. I offered to pay an additional $100 for overnight shipping to ensure safe arrival, but this was inexplicably refused by their team. After contacting them about the dead tree, I was informed my original tree was out of stock. Their proposed replacements were entirely unacceptable: they were trees of half the original value, smaller size, and significantly lower quality. When I requested a full refund for the product THEY failed to deliver alive, they refused, stating they would only issue a partial refund! Unreal. Eastern Leaf demonstrates a severe lack of adequate care when shipping live plants, even when the customer offers to pay a premium for safety. They also fail to stand behind their product, refusing a full refund when their service results in a dead product. DO NOT order live plants from this company. I’m now disputing the charge with my credit card company to recover the full cost of the dead tree.
