Do not work!
I purchased the earplugs because they promise to block out noise. I lived in an apartment located near train tracks. The sound of the train's horn was unbearable. I really liked my apartment but I was unable to get a good night sleep because of the noise. Unfortunately the earplugs did not work. I could still hear the train's loud horn. I ended up moving out of my apartment.
Response from Mighty Plugs: The World's Finest EarplugsAug 17, 2013
Oh Patricia: You received your order just 3 weeks ago and already you moved from your apt??????? Your decision to move within 3 weeks was a quick one. Why didn't you contact us to inform us that you were having difficulty blocking out sound with our ear plugs? We have no record of you contacting us by phone or e-mail. We care about our customers! We've sent you the highest blocking ear plug in the world and if we had the chance to tell you how to insert them, you would have been very very pleased with the amount of sound they block out and most likely would not have to move. If you still have our ear plugs, PLEASE FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS BELOW! To experience the superior performance, one must follow these preparation and insertion directions below, and you will realize why all the testimonials on our website page are true and accurate. Note! Many women with smaller ear canals do not insert the whole ear plug; for just after they have kneaded the ear plug to make it soft and moldable, they pinch off at least (a third), and insert a smaller ear plug that fits their ear canal better, is more comfortable, seals easier and blocks out better. This can make a big difference, yet you do want to insert enough ear plug material to be able to block out well. 1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work it or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 20 seconds to make it soft, moldable and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and seals it. When the ear plug is soft and moldable and ready to insert, it doesn't matter what shape it is; round, flat, long or narrow; just follow the next step. If you are going to pinch off to make a smaller ear plug, then now is the time. 2. Using the tip of your index finger, push FIRMLY & FLATTEN the ear plug IN and AGAINST your ear canal (until you feel a GOOD SEAL!) If it doesn't seal immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds and it will seal well. 3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & sealing the ear canals, you will notice a big improvement. 4. To Remove: Simply pinch the ear plug with your thumb & index finger and gently pull downward and out. Patricia, this fine moldable ear plug deserves “A Fair Test”. Most sincerely Mary- customer service
