Once I did have a bit of wax back-up into my ear which caused pain for several weeks, but with warm oil inserted in my ear, I managed to clear that up. These ear plugs mold into my ears and block out almost all noise. I am a very light sleeper, so any noise wakes me up. With the mighty plugs I can get a great nights sleep. They do last a long time, but would love them to last a bit longer. Other than that they get an A+. Thanks

These earplugs are the best I have ever found. I spent about 8 years and about $250 trying out various "guaranteed earplugs, from the least expensive commonly available to 2 different pairs of specially made plugs to my ear canal at about $100 each. None were as effective, nor as comfortable. I've been using these Mighty Plugs for about 3 years now, and have given them away to family and friends. My husband is very hard of hearing and snores loudly. He also likes the TV all day long, and I hate noise. My husband refuses to wear his hearing aides and consequently the volume of radios and TV etc. is excruciatingly painful. I keep Mighty Plugs in my purse, by the bed, by my desk, and in the car. They are soft, conform to your own ears, work, and are comfortable, even when sleeping on your side. They are great when shooting guns. I reuse them for quite a while each, as they eventually get dirty. Depending on how dirty your hands are and how often you use them, they eventually start harding up and becoming less effective. That's when I trash them and start using a new pair that are clean. The trick in their effectiveness is following the directions of use. Warm them up by kneading, press into the ear, massage and press the edges down around the canal. Sometimes, I put them in, let them warm a little more and then press around the edges a second time. Purchasing is a breeze and personal, if you like.

I have used these for several years with good results. However, they harden up and are unusable over a period of time. I recently had to toss a few pair that were not usable.
