Maybe my expectations were too high. I can definitely hear other things with the plugs in. I was expecting silence, but really my experience is that they just muffle sound. The best part is that they do not irritate my ear like I've had other plugs do. The ads and customer testimonials oversell the plugs.

These ear plugs have allowed me to sleep in my own bed and snoring, TV and even the barking doesn't wake me up. Finally!!!!

I bought at least 5-10 different brands/ kinds, of earplugs for my wife before I found these, she LOVES THEM!!! Super comfortable which was the problem she was having, dont give her an ear ache after wearing them all night! Just be careful, She went through a year supply in a week until we discovered that my basset hound loves them too...

Dear Jaala: You've got a Surprise coming !!!; when I show you how to USE our BEESWAX Ear Plug. Jaala, please follow these steps below and this magnificent ear plug will EXCEED your expectations. 1. Just before insertion, take (( ONE )) ear plug at a time and (work or knead) it between your fingers or hands for at LEAST 15-20 seconds to make this Beeswax ear plug, (soft and moldable). 2. Then push and flatten it, (a bit firmly), IN and AGAINST your ear opening, UNTIL YOU FEEL the ear plug (( SEAL )) (( SEAL )) yes (( SEAL )) your ear canal. IMPORTANT: If the ear plug doesn't SEAL immediately, then just keep your finger pressed against it for a few more seconds and it will warm and SEAL PERFECTLY. 3. Now take the other ear plug, and prepare it and insert it (exactly) the same way as the first ear plug. Jaala, with both ears SEALED, now listen to the silence. I received a stale batch of earplugs and politely asked if there was something wrong with the batch (hoping to take advantage of their advertised return policy as the plugs I received were clearly hard and stale). The rep got back to me at a leisurely pace and promised to check the stock out at the start of the next week. Weeks later and I have still not heard anything. You're better off buying these off Amazon as they will stand behind the product for you. This is what I'd always done before but thought it would be better to buy direct and let them have the full profits. Boy was I wrong, avoiding ordering from earplugsonline.com
