Dear Eo: LET'S FIX THAT NOW!! For an ear plug to do the job; it MUST (( PLUG )) the ear canal and not protrude!!!! Eo, if you can, please see : We have a visual & oral video on the website: --------------earplugsonline.com For now, please follow the below instructions and you'll be very very happy with the result: 1. Just as you are about to insert, take ONE ear plug and {work it or knead it} thoroughly between your fingers or hands for at least 20 seconds to make it (soft, mouldable) and to disburse the Pure Lanolin throughout the ear plug. Pure Lanolin makes the ear plug slightly “tacky” so that it stays securely in the ear canal and SEALS it. You may see a little blue residue the first couple of times wearing, but that dissipates quickly. When the ear plug is soft, mouldable and ready to insert; it doesn’t matter what its’ shape is; round, flat, long or narrow; just follow the next step. 2. Using the tip of your index finger, push the ear plug a bit FIRMLY; & FLATTEN it (IN and AGAINST) your ear canal (until you feel a GOOD SEAL). IMPORTANT: If it doesn’t seal immediately, then hold your finger pressed against the ear plug (with slight pressure) for a few more seconds, and it will SEAL well. 3. Now take the other ear plug, prepare it the same way & insert it into the other ear. With both ear plugs inserted correctly & SEALING the ear canals; now listen: you’ll hear very little or possibly no sound at all; and (it even gets better) each day or night afterwards. Dear Denise: It's difficult for us " to relate " to your experience, for we have never put " clay" into our ears; Our ultra-high blocking mouldable Mighty Plugs are made from PURE BEESWAX; a most magnificent "sound blocking" natural material that is especially comfortable and ( compatible ) with human skin.
