The service is fantastic; billing practices are, at times, illegal
The service itself is fantastic. I quickly got to see a doctor and was prescribed appropriate medication. This was particularly helpful due to my physical disability. This service saved me from having to navigate transportation and many other aspects of getting to an appointment. Where they have serious issues is in their billing department. I am a QMB patient which means I am receiving both Medicare and Medicaid. This is incredibly important because, when a company chooses to accept Medicare, they are legally barred from billing a patient or client any amount that insurance did not cover. If a patient or client has QMB status, it doesn't matter if the explanation of benefits says that the patient owes money. It simply means that the company has to eat the cost of anything insurance did not cover. If a company that accepts Medicare chooses to bill a client with QMB status, that is a direct violation of federal law and that company must be reported to 1-800 Medicare immediately, even if the patient or client gets their money back. They can also be reported to the Better Business Bureau and to the attorney general of your state
