If you are looking for a book distribution service, I highly suggest that you go direct to the eBook services like Barnes & Noble, Apple, Kobo etc. Skip using Draft 2 Digital because: 1. Their book enforcement and quality control methods are arbitrary and vague at best. 2. Their communication standards, appalling. 3. They threaten to pursue legal action for a made up crime. I received a "PERMANENT PROBATION" email today after uploading two books which I created. Zero warning, zero prior communication. Account closed with zero recourse. I have a book that's been for sale with royalties due but I highly doubt I'll see a cent of it based on the other reviews. To clarify, my books uploaded on D2D are for sale on Amazon. A couple of them are best sellers. Businesses like these don't have your best interest as an author in mind. They take everything personally, operate like a mom and pop store by making baseless aggressive threats like a toothless tiger. Banned for life after they decided my book was written by an AI. Tbh, AI helped with the formatting and with shaping the structure, but all the content was mine — and apparently it's so "useless" that I have thousands of enthusiastic readers elsewhere. Are they running with the LUDDITES, in a foul race where more and more people shout "AI SLOP!" at the slightest sign of using new, powerful creative tools? Are they just appeasing the anti-AI crowd without even considering whether the tool was used properly? Sad.

Draft2Digital closed my account unexpectedly, despite having legitimate published work. There was no meaningful explanation, no warning, and no real support provided. As an author, this was emotionally stressful and professionally damaging. A publishing platform should support creators, not abruptly shut them out without clarity. I feel let down by the lack of transparency and empathy shown during this process. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Draft2Digital to other authors

I've been a software developerfor 45 years. I noticed when sending a free coupon to any email address, fake or legit, it counted as a download. I was able to generate over 50K downloads of my book using a free coupon. D2D legitamtely closed my account and I was upfront on what I had done. They said I had weaponized my software to attack their site. In reality, I was doing investigative research on the deceptive practices they were using. That was about 4 months ago. If you are seeing books using free coupons be weary. I do not recommend using this company. They have not changed their practices.

They lie and steal your money from your works.

"Unfortunately, our partners have started blocking books covering generic topics that have oversaturated the market recently." I have uploaded a book. Got a reply of low content, for a book i created 150 photos etc and 400+pages of content covering every aspect of the subject and wrote about a subject so niche, its the only book on the subject in the world, literally. Re-read the above i got off their customer services.

I received the same email 2 days ago about mass production low content books and that my account is probated and permanently closed, but they said they will pay my royalties. I replied by saying if there is any unapproved low ontent it can be deleted but closing the account is harsh. Then I read all of these reviews that many authors have received the same email. I have not received a response yet.
