I had good time with D2D untill Smashword took it over. I have received on my second email from Smashword to accept my new account conected to D2D and to change my pasword. Which I did and now all of my books has gone and only three left . I can't login anymore into my previous account with D2D , and I think I was scammed. I have sent them a couple of emails but no response from them at all.

I strongly advise against working with this company due to their unprofessional conduct and subpar service. The organization demonstrates a concerning lack of accountability and customer support.
Firstly, their operations are riddled with inefficiencies, leading to frequent issues for users. When these problems are brought to their attention, instead of addressing them constructively, the company becomes defensive and retaliatory. They have been known to ban users who voice legitimate concerns, which is an unacceptable response to feedback.
Furthermore, their lack of transparency is alarming. When asked to explain the issues in their system, they provide vague or no explanations at all. This opacity makes it challenging for users to navigate their services effectively.
Perhaps most disturbingly, their technical support is unreliable at best. In my experience, they simply ceased communication when I requested assistance with a problem. This behavior is not only unprofessional but also leaves users stranded without resolution.
In conclusion, this company's hypocritical stance, unsupportive attitude, and inability to handle criticism make them an unreliable partner. Their tendency to take offense at user frustrations rather than addressing the root causes of these issues is particularly troubling. I cannot in good conscience recommend engaging with such an organization or taking their services seriously.

This company allowed me to make an…
This company allowed me to make an account with them after buying all of my works and account from Smashwords. They kept it up for some time. They then sent many emails that a tax preparer from their company would contact me requesting information. I never received an email from this person. They then wiped my work down permanently from many major retailers where I was making most of my profits. And ignored my comment asking to rectify it. Apparently I read without them replying this means my account is on permanent probation. And now I have to wonder my work is being sold in some other countries without my agreement or still being in contract and I am not collecting any of the profits. But this is okay. Because I will turn to resources other than Draft2Digital to market my work. It’s a shame when monopolies buy out small businesses and infringe on the rights of their creators.

Complete lack of communciation
Draft2Digital acquired the company Smashwords, and as a result I had to migrate an account to Draft2Digital from Smashwords. I’ve never had a problem with Smashwords.
Draft2Digital (D2D) sends me an email informing me that their third-party tax identity specialists will be sending me an email with instructions on how I can verify my tax identity. I did that, following instructions, and Draft2Digital continues to email me saying that I have only 15 (and then 7) days left to verify my tax identity before my account is closed without any royalties unpaid.
Even though I submitted all the requested documents, Draft2Digital continues to close my account with a 'permanent probation' email.
As a reply, I sent emails to D2D to inform them that I sent them the requested verification documents, plus a reminder email. No communication whatsoever for almost 3 weeks. I am still waiting for a response from D2D.
Even though I did everything requested, no one at either D2D or their third-party tax identity center has responded to me to clarify anything.
I have no words to describe this. I do NOT recommend Draft2Digital (D2D) for authors/ self-publishers.

I also suspect this may be a scam
I also suspect this may be a scam. They permanently probated my account due to AI use and being low-no-content. However, there is no proof that they have scrubbed my banking or tax information. So, I can't use my account, but they still keep my data and manuscripts for all perpetuity. Their communication is unprofessional, and they treat authors like criminals instead of respected and valued clients. Stay away. Please don't give them your personal data.

Please Beware Draft2Digital
I’ve recently had two of my accounts migrated to Draft2Digital (D2D) from Smashwords. I’ve never had a problem with Smashwords, but D2D has acquired Smashwords, and they’re currently in the process of migrating all Smashwords accounts to D2D.
For the first account I had migrated over, Draft2Digital (D2D) sends me an email informing me that their third-party tax identity specialists will be sending me an email with instructions on how I can verify my tax identity. I wait and wait, never receiving their email. Meanwhile D2D emails me saying that I have only 15 days left to verify my tax identity before my account is closed and my royalties unpaid.
I try reaching out to D2D to inform them that I have all the necessary verification documents, and that their third-party tax identity specialists have not contacted me. I get no response from D2D. I reach out to the tax identity specialists in hopes they help me verify my identity with D2D. I get no response from them either.
After some time, I got another email from Draft2Digital (D2D) stating that I have 7 days until my account is closed and royalties unpaid. I try emailing them again, and then again, and never receive a response from them. Meanwhile, my books are live on many distributor sites and royalties are being earned.
When I recently tried logging into my D2D account to check the status of things, my account was closed, my books delisted, and my royalties have not been paid to me. I fear the same thing will happen to the second account that has been migrated from Smashwords. I’ve been emailing them about this issue for both accounts, and no one at either D2D or their third-party tax identity center has responded to me to clarify anything. I could have easily verified my tax identity had they just reached out to me.
Now, an author brand I’ve had for years has its momentum ruined by my books being delisted and my D2D account being closed, and due to no fault of my own. I’m already looking for ways to resolve this issue via another mass-distribution option, but the damage is done.
I do NOT recommend Draft2Digital (D2D) for indie authors/publishers. The hassle, stress, and loss are not worth it.
