Falsely claimed I did not give tax info on faulty form, they refused might be the taxmans fault.
Smashwords merged or rather was taken over by d2d. A required tax information form would not confirm and I didn't benefit. I gave 2 images, then a small image of having supplied the tax info. I gave a corrected fw8ben form but staff insisted on certain hard copy, a housebound man of 75 could not do. They deleted some 50 odd books, saying I hadn't published any books, and gave me no chance to explain myself, just assumed I was in the wrong. I understand the fury of so many authors. They have no compassion or understanding of old age, for one thing...

DO NOT USE DRAFT2DIGITALTHIEVES
DO NOT USE DRAFT2DIGITAL BECAUSE THEY WILL STEAL YOUR BOOKS. I TOLD THEM MONTHS AGO TO STOP SELLING MY BOOKS. THEY LOCKED MY ACCOUNT AND STILL CONTINUE TO PIRATE MY BOOKS, NO PAY. NO ANSWERS. NOTHING. I HAVE PRESSED CRIMINAL CHARGES JUST LIKE IF THEY DOWNLOADED FROM PIRATES BAY.

Disappointing Customer Service - Draft2Digital
I recently had an extremely frustrating experience with Draft2Digital’s customer support that I feel compelled to share. After contacting them with what I believed was a straightforward question about their platform, I became engaged in a back-and-forth exchange spanning more than a half dozen emails. Unfortunately, not only was my question never fully addressed, but the tone of the responses grew increasingly curt and dismissive.
To my surprise, rather than working toward a resolution, the representative suggested I delete my account entirely—an unnecessary and unprofessional escalation that left me stunned. When I asked for the issue to be escalated to someone higher up, I was flatly refused. The representative claimed there was no reason for escalation, stating that I had already received all the support I needed and required. This couldn’t have been further from the truth, as my original issue remained unresolved.
As an author who relies on self-publishing platforms, I expected a much higher standard of professionalism and support. Instead, I felt dismissed and even antagonized by a company who I trusted with my work. A proper escalation or acknowledgment of the poor handling of this situation could have resolved the matter amicably, but instead, the refusal to do so has left me questioning whether D2D truly values its authors.
I am sharing this review not only in hopes that someone from D2D’s management sees it and takes appropriate action but also to caution other authors about the level of support they may encounter at D2D. I hope D2D addresses these issues to prevent future authors from having similarly negative and frustrating experiences with their work on this platform.

This platform Draft2Digital is a big scam. They allowed you to upload your work take all your personal information and data , and then blocked you from the platform. Telling you that you are permanently banned. If this is not a scam then I don’t understand what is these people seem races and I must say very unprofessional. I wouldn’t recommend Authors to used this platform of vision killers

Avoid using Draft2Digital for your book…
Avoid using Draft2Digital for your book publishing needs. They do not pay out after your book makes sales. Before reaching the payout threshold, they block your book, keeping your earnings.
Choose a more reliable and honest book publishing company instead.

D2D can't handle W8-BEN
I was happily publishing with Smashwords until it got taken over by Draft2Digital. (NOTE: D2D took over Smashwords, not the other way around.) D2D's hired goons then contacted me to demand that I fill in their W8-BEN (which I had filed with Smashwords for over a decade without any problems). The D2D W8-BEN form did not work. I mentioned this to the hired goons, who replied that they'd just take my money anyway. I removed all my titles immediately. (They are now listed elsewhere.) I would never recommend D2D to anyone outside the US.
