I bought a purse and i received it damaged. Dooney would not let me return it but they want me to pay and ship it back for repair. The returns have to be in perfect condition but they don't sell the same. Customer Service is not accommodating at all.

The discount codes they gave me for 10 percent off would not work. I spoke with them through chat and was assured twice they would send link to solve problem, never sent email with link. I went ahead and ordered purse thinking suc h a large company would rectify the problem, when I called was told once purchase was made nothing could be done. JUST HOPE I LIKE THE PURSE CAUSE NOW I FEEL LIKE THEIR A SCAM...DO BETTER DOONEY!!

My package was given to a random neighbor on the street and then signed off as given to the individual. I notified the company and they stated they would investigate. A couple of days later, I received an email from customer service that summed up to 'it's delivered and is out of our hands'. They said there was nothing more they could do. They claimed they had investigated and were told the coordinates showed delivery in my area (not my home) and that someone had received the package. I explained that I didn't receive it and wasn't at home. I sent screenshots showing my activity from my camera and the next day, I received an email stating they would investigate further and asked me to give them a couple of weeks. I went to UPS, who then referred me to the USPS, and I spoke with the representative who took it directly to his manager and they got on this right away. Once it was researched, it was acknowledged that the coordinates that showed were of my neighbor's home and not mine. To sum it up, the manager retrieved my package and I now have possession of my purse, all within an hour and a half. I will no longer do business with them. This is ridiculous. I just had surgery and I've been out in the heat and in pain conducting this investigation. I forgot to mention that I went door to door with neighbors who had the same numerical address, just to check.

They do not honor their advertising for a discount on a purchase. Telling me it doesn’t apply to the product.

I’ve purchased a number of Dooney & Burke handbags over the years from retailers like QVC, HSN, Macy’s, Dillard’s, I Love Dooney and other fine retailers. Just about every handbag I have thoroughly loved and never had an issue with the product or customer service. In March 2024, I received an ad for a pre-order on a new handbag Dooney & Burke was launching in April. This email was directly from the company directly. I vacillated over purchasing directly from the source as I’ve had good service from others. None of my regular retailers had this product at that time. I ordered my Canvass Crossbody 28 bag from the company on 3/30/2024 with the estimated shipping date of 4/6/2024. I waited for the order…4/10…nothing…but they had a pending charge on my credit card which typically means it was ready to ship. I waited…I checked my credit card a few days later…the pending charge was gone and nothing was charged to my credit card. Every two weeks I checked and same thing…a pending charge and then nothing…no final charge. The beginning of May I contacted D&B support, by email and stated my concern about the Pre-Ordered bag that should have been shipped a month ago. No response. I contacted them 2 more times, each time with dates and order number. Finally I received a response from “Christy” no other name, title or email address saying “Thank you for contacting support. Your order has been shipped and here is the tracking number.” There was never an apology for the number of times I contacted the, sorry about the delay in shipment or anything else. I did receive the handbag but especially after seeing other reviews on the horrible customer service directly from the company, I will NEVER order directly from them again. In fact, I’ll need to give consideration on whether I order a D&B bag again. Very, very poor service.

Dooney is refusing to refund my purchase price for a purse that they stopped shipment on. I tried to cancel transaction BEFORE shipping but they refused then after that is when they later decided to ship it. Even after I tried to cancel before shipping. Now they have my money and suddenly stopped shipping mid transit and tell me they need to wait until it comes back to START a refund. Why??? I will never have possession. I will never get this purse never have it in my possession and they were able to stop it so the purse was always under their control. It’s been 10 days without my money and probably another 20 before they decide whether to give me my money back for an item they never delivered to me. It’s their carrier account not mine. I have nothing to do with whether it gets back to them. They have NO legal right to hold my money and it is civil theft at this point in my opinion. Figures though as their CEO Bourke was convicted after being found guilty of investing in an offshore venture in which he knew bribes were being paid. Dishonesty. Dooney &Bourke owner also apparently found guilty of making false statements to the FBI. So attitude looks like it permeates company to me. This company is extraordinarily UNTRUSTWORTHY and unstable in my opinion. Look at other reviews because I’m not alone here. Buy at your own risk. Are they going bankrupt?

Dooney & Bourke wishes to establish itself and develop in the French market. Recently, their marketing and recruitment department contacted our digital agency. After more than ten exchanges by email, the brand offered me a meeting by videoconference. Once the meeting date is set, I send them a connection link. On the day, no one from the brand showed up for the meeting, without any apology or explanation since. Clearly, Dooney & Bourke are not serious people. Total lack of manners, professionalism and credibility. For a company that prides itself on being a luxury brand, this is rather strange. Michael Kors, Coach, Kate Spade, Guess, Longchamps and the others have nothing to worry about
