We have been using Dokan for around six years, so it is genuinely disappointing to be writing this review. The Dokan 5.0 update impacted our live site considerably and left Dokan Pro/Starter effectively unusable on our live marketplace. Starter has been switched off since 1 May, and we are now seven weeks later with no meaningful resolution. Over this period, support has not provided the level of actionable assistance we would expect from a platform we have supported and paid for over many years. Instead, we have often felt that the issues were being shifted to other plugins, our theme, hosting, or other external factors, rather than Dokan taking real ownership of the problem. We have made significant changes to our site over the past several months in an effort to keep working with Dokan, including changing our theme, changing pricing plugins, and changing feed generation plugins. These were major changes for a live marketplace and came with real disruption, cost, and lost time. What is most disappointing is that after six years as a customer, Dokan appears comfortable seeing us leave without a proper resolution, meaningful escalation, or even a refund for the current subscription period, despite the product being unusable for us since 1 May. This review is not written lightly. We have invested years into using Dokan and genuinely wanted the platform to work for our business. However, the lack of urgency, ownership, and fair support during this issue has been extremely disappointing. I hope Dokan takes this feedback seriously and improves how it supports long-standing customers when major updates cause serious disruption.

Our experience with the Dokan Vendor plugin has been nothing short of a disaster. The plugin is incredibly buggy and unstable — it completely messed up our website, causing layout issues, conflicts with other plugins, and random functionality failures. Every “fix” seemed to create two new problems. What’s even more frustrating is the support. It’s practically useless. Responses are slow, vague, and clearly copy-pasted, with little to no real understanding of the issues. We wasted countless hours going back and forth without any meaningful resolution. For a paid plugin, this level of quality is unacceptable. It feels unfinished, poorly tested, and nowhere near production-ready. Instead of helping us grow our marketplace, it cost us time, money, and credibility. Avoid this plugin unless you want to spend more time fixing problems than running your business.

Terrible Support. You don't have enough flexibility in setting the commission rates. When you have an issue with something, which could happen so often, you get bad support that don't read the tickets carefully.

The plugin works okay, but there are some worrying practices behind it. A quick look at the Trustpilot page shows a pattern of clearly artificial reviews, which makes it hard to trust the company. Make sure you read the lower-rated reviews, they tell a very different story. I was close to buying the Pro version, but I’m glad I reconsidered. I prefer not to support a company that appears to use misleading tactics to boost its reputation

Paid for their PRO plugin. Do NOT like the fact that third-parties like Wordfence and others before the author of this plugin tell people their plugin was creating exploitive attacks. WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN INFORMED BY YOU ALL FIRST! DO BETTER DOKAN. This is not the first time. You LITERALLY have ONE job to make a plugin and it works that doesn't have a security holes. ONE JOB. I cannot endorse the AMOUNT of MONEY paid for a PRO plugin and the DISAPPOINTMENT I feel when same plugin keeps releasing without PRIORITIZING security. NOT OKAY. You LOSE TRUST with your customer who can be your biggest product allies. This is just laziness to allow security Admin exploits. DO BETTER!

I have just installed Dokan in my WordPress homepage. After this installation and activating the Plugin in my homepage, it was crashed directly by a wall-to-wall error message and I could not get into my home page. I then delete by browser cashe, then I came in again, but when I am activating several menus in my homepage show this errror message again. I dont now how what I have to do now. :-(

Absolutely appalling software and support. There are many many half-assed features but the worst is errors that lead to customers not being able to pay. Dokan support doesn't reply for more than two weeks and then the classic anwser "not our fault" is posted. Absolute trash product and company. Avoid at all costs. Plenty of good marketplace alternatives exist in the WordPress space. Save yourself the time and money. Also don't be fooled by the fake reviews on here. Just look, they are all the same, slightly variated, mostly made by people with only one review. It could not be any clearer and has Dokan written all over it: rock bottom quality.

After creating a $399 membership per MONTH with Dokan Cloud and I realized, these guys are sending notifications to my vendors about dokan cloud updates. Trying to STEAL my vendors! If you have a company made to help you host a multi vendor platform, it's supposed to help you get vendors, but by sending MY VENDORS notifications about Dokan Cloud through their notification bell system, WHICH THE VENDORS DONT NEED TO KNOW ABOUT AT ALL! They are basically saying HEY COME WITH US DIRECTLY INSTEAD. Dont waste your time or money, go use Wordpress and make a WAYYY better website for 40$ A YEAR like I did! I even tried to talk to support, they wasted my time, they said they would do help me remove it, they lied, after 2 weeks they said sorry we cant do that, I think they wanted to wait for my subscription to renew to take more of my money before basically telling me no, we are still going to send your clients notifications that they can just use dokan cloud themselves!
