This is the newest tag we offer and it should not have any issues with major wear for years. You received the replacement tag in early March so please give it time to see how it will hold up as it has only been a couple of weeks. It is very possible that the first tag you received had a defect and the replacement will hold up much better. You may always contact us for a full refund at any time. Thank you for your feedback. Every tag we sell is guaranteed for the life of your pet. If you have issues please contact us and we are happy to remake the tags for you or offer you a refund. Detailed images always look better on a larger tag as the small is only the size of a nickle coin. We are here to solve your issues. The lettering and numbers should never wear off or fade. The only way this can happen is if the tags is chewed up. Please contact us and we can make you a new tag with a more visible design or offer you a refund.
